My dear gentledevils,
By now, you should be firmly familiar with our fundamental problem: Reality is rigged against us. The human vermin are addicted to truth. They can’t live without it. Therefore, we must be smart in how we present the message of Diabolic Correctness (D.C.).
Rat Poison
Humans view rats in much the same way as we see humans. They are annoying but also hard to kill. To overcome this, the humans invented rat poison. Usually, a rat will not eat it because they sense its destructive nature and recoil in disgust. To overcome this, the humans place the poison inside clean and irresistible food. It fools the rats, and they consume the bait containing a lethal dose of poison, which, I am happy to say, induces in them a most painful and horrific death.
Although rats do not have any soul like the humans, they can still feel pain. In the absence of human suffering, I solace myself on the dying pains of these lesser beings. You may find that pathetic, but I promise you that this has sustained me through many long periods of human happiness.
Almost-Truths
Inspired by rat poison, we devised a method for injecting the message of Our Father Below into their minds without their consent. We cloak it in truth! If someone makes nine factual statements, the listener is primed to believe that the tenth statement also will be correct. Their critical faculty is dulled by trust, and this allows us to slip in our lethal black pill.
If they swallow it, the D.C. message will start to dissolve the fabric of reality and start decomposing the very core of their being. If done successfully, they will be rotting corpses long before they enter the grave. It pleases Our Father Below very much.
Almost-Talents
Who could be better conveyers of these almost-truths than the almost-talents? The mediocre members of academia that have already swallowed the black pill and turned into vengeful Cains have just enough talent to cloak our message of hate so that it becomes edible to the innocent humans.
This method works in every area, but I will give you an example. When Karl Marx wrote his communist manifesto, he identified a truth: history is filled with oppression. However, he managed to convince many people that being oppressed or suffering is equivalent to being morally virtuous.
I can tell you that this is not the case. We demons have had our fun among the working class for centuries. You would not believe all the delicious crime and devilry we have inspired among these so-called oppressed people. If you convince not-so-good people that they deserve to have their revenge on other not-so-good people, the result is a revolution, and in some cases – if we are lucky – genocide. If you succeed in inspiring such an outcome, Our Father Below will personally award you the Medal of Horror.
We devils all abhor the truth, but it can be a useful cloaking device to manipulate the unsuspecting patient to do horrible things he otherwise would not. Let that be your lesson of the day!
