One year ago, LibertyNation.com opened its cyber doors. We had in mind a boutique of original, fresh and bold authors that would write high-quality conservative news and commentary not found elsewhere. Our goal was to produce articles that were not only well-written but well-sourced. Unlike the leftists we are able to hold more than one idea in our collective heads at a time, so we determined to:
- make sure no fake news would be found on our site
- offer the news of the day minus the leftist propaganda
- demonstrate with our analysis that: Truth is Making a Comeback
Never, ever in our wildest dreams did we anticipate the hunger and thirst for these maxims in the public cyber-square. We hoped – and prayed – that perhaps at best we would get maybe 500 to 1,000 loyal readers a day. And that would be doing well.
One year to the day later Liberty Nation analytics continue to astound us: This past week we averaged approximately 50,000 pageviews. Fifty-eight percent of those visitors were new to our site, and 42% were returning visitors with an average daily viewership of over 7,000. As we continue to partner with outstanding conservative aggregators such as Whatfinger.com and TheLibertyDaily.com we are seeing how people are reacting to our little experiment:

We also postulated that innovation in the publishing field was essential to keep up with the demands of modern readers. Thus, we have a Live Chatroom where you can talk to our authors and The Uprising Podcast that digs deep into an issue but still respects the limited time of our listeners. Then there is our longest-running effort – Liberty Nation Radio heard on dozens of stations across the Radio America Network as well as three times each week right here in The Swamp.
Let’s face it, conservatives working in the media today face a plethora of challenges. Facebook has often denied our boosts, REDDIT has refused our ads, Twitter is out there shadow-banning people, not to mention the ever-changing algorithms Google uses to suppress conservative voices. Just a few weeks ago, LN was the subject of a cyber-attack that shut our site down for two hours. It’s war out there, folks!
And yet, this one-year review of Liberty Nation demonstrates that there are many people all across America today who no longer want to get their news from the New York Times or CNN. Our readers recognize the old gray lady ain’t what she used to be and “The Most Trusted Name in News” has, for all intents and purposes, become a laugh line.
And so, we push on. Ever mindful that the truth, based on facts, coupled with thoughtful commentary and analysis proves to be a recipe for success. But we must give one final shout out on this one-year anniversary of LN to those who believed in us, believed we could do it, and believed that a place such as Liberty Nation should exist – because it makes us a better people and a better nation.
