Conservative media activist James O’Keefe founded the Veritas Project to do undercover projects to expose corruption and collusion in leftwing organizations. During the presidential election campaign Project Veritas made a ruckus by exposing Democratic groups organizing violence and disruptions against Trump supporters and his campaign.
In January O’Keefe promised that their next target would be to expose the leftwing media. Now, Project Veritas is back with the result with a video series called American Pravda. Goodness, maybe Veritas reads Liberty Nation. Yesterday they released the first video in this series, and their initial target was none other than that airport news service known as CNN. (No surprise there!) During the Veritas undercover operation, they captured CNN Supervising Producer John Bonifield making extraordinary admissions.
When the Veritas undercover agent asked Bonifield if the Russia Story was “bulls**t” he replied:
“Could be bulls**t. I mean, it’s mostly bulls**t right now. Like, we don’t have any big giant proof.”
Bonifield went on to admit that such proof for the story they were about to broadcast to millions worldwide probably does not exist.
“But then they say, well there is still an investigation going on… I don’t know, if you were finding something, we would know about it. They way these leaks happen, they’d leak it. If it was something really good, it would leak.
I just refuse to believe that if they had something really good like that, that wouldn’t leak because we’ve been getting all these other leaks. So, I just feel like they don’t have it but they want to keep digging.
So I think the president is right to say, like, look you are witch-hunting me. You have no real proof, you have no smoking gun.”
The video by the Veritas Project has apparently also caught the interest of President Donald Trump. Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated in a White House press conference:
“…there is a video circulating now. Whether it’s accurate or not I don’t know, but I would encourage everybody in this room and, frankly, everybody across the country to take a look at it. I think that if it is accurate, it’s a disgrace to all of media, to all of journalism.”
Bonifield also explained the reason that CNN focused so extensively on the Russia story. CNN is getting excellent ratings from this, even though it is not real news it is generating a lot of money for CNN. According to Bonifield, the push comes from the very top, CEO of CNN Jeff Zucker.
This video is just the first from Project Veritas in the American Pravda series, and they plan to release more in the coming days with other shocking revelations. In one sense, the video only confirms what the alternative media has been saying for a long time, namely that the mainstream media is utterly corrupt and politicized. What Project Veritas brings to the table is an admission of this from the horse’s mouth, a definite confirmation of what we knew based on patterns of behavior.
CNN and the other fake news sites are likely going to tone down the importance of this video evidence, but the cat is now entirely out of the bag. From now on, it will be difficult for the fake news media to credibly pin other similar “scandals” on Trump and his administration.
And so it seems that President Trump has been right all along – the news CNN is putting out is fake.
