It’s hard to take President Joe Biden seriously when he says he is tackling the illegal immigration crisis. Polls show the disastrous state of the porous US southern border is the top concern of Americans in 2024. Yet Biden continues to do all he can to expedite the floodtide of illegal aliens into America – even welcoming them as “newcomers” in need of “critical services.”
A White House “Fact Sheet” dated Feb. 29 urging the passing of immigration reform legislation in Congress stirred widespread outrage with its language choices. “The bill also includes $1.4 billion for cities and states who are providing critical services to newcomers, and would expedite work permits for people who are in the country and qualify,” the text reads.
Newcomers? The term is very deliberate.
Words Matter
“Earlier [in February], in a similar press release on the Senate bill, Biden’s White House touted billions that the legislation would provide to cities and states accepting these so-called ‘newcomers,’” Breitbart noted. “The Biden administration has made it a point to rid the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) of all references to ‘illegal aliens’ or ‘illegal immigrants,’ instead demanding officials use ‘more inclusive’ terms like ‘noncitizens’ and ‘undocumented individual.’”
Biden’s own use of the term “illegal,” even when applied to an alleged murderer not legally in this country, has drawn the ire of his fellow Democrats and some members of the media. During is State of the Union address Thursday, the president called the Venezuelan accused of killing Georgia student Laken Riley an “illegal.” Biden was asked by a reporter the next day if he regretted using that term. “well, I probably … I don’t re-” was the president’s stumbling response before he pivoted and asserted that the suspect was “technically not supposed to be here.”
It’s something that Team Biden would very much like Americans not to dwell on in a presidential election year, but the fact is Democrats wholeheartedly believe in an unassailable right to “migration” that cannot be impinged by border barriers of any sort.
As Liberty Nation documented, Biden in January 2023 participated in a “North American Leaders’ Summit” in Mexico City, along with Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
It is no exaggeration to describe the gathering as a test drive for a North American Union that would obliterate US national sovereignty.
A “Declaration of North America” issued by the three leaders read:
“Today, we affirm our joint commitment to safe, orderly, and humane migration under the Los Angeles Declaration and other relevant multilateral frameworks. This includes assisting host communities and promoting migrant and refugee integration; providing protection to refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants; strengthening asylum capacity in the region; expanding and promoting regular pathways for migration and protection; addressing the root causes and impacts of irregular migration and forced displacement; and collaborating to counter xenophobia and discrimination against migrants and refugees.”
Once one understands this basic reality, everything happening in the realm of immigration and border control under Biden’s watch makes sense.
What Biden Has Wrought
US “Customs and Border Protection has refused to disclose information about a program last year secretly arranging flights for thousands of undocumented immigrants from foreign airports directly to US cities,” The Daily Mail reported March 4. “It means that while record numbers of migrants were flowing over the southern border last year, the Biden White House was also directly transporting them into the country. Use of a cell phone app has allowed for the near undetected arrival by air of 320,000 aliens with no legal rights to enter the United States.”
“The US may be on the brink of a potential spring surge of illegal crossings at the southern border after US Customs and Border Protection sources told Fox News early Monday that migrant encounters have surpassed 21,000 over three days,” the network reported March 4. “The 7,000-plus migrant encounters on Sunday [March 3] followed similar numbers on Friday and Saturday, the sources said.”
As all this occurs, an ex-Biden official now comfortably working in big-box media openly laughs along with her tone-deaf colleagues on national television as they ridicule those concerned about the issue.
“MSNBC anchors Jen Psaki, Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow mocked GOP primary voters in Virginia live on air for considering immigration their top concern,” The New York Post reported March 6. Psaki served as Biden’s White House press secretary from Jan. 2021 to May 2022. “‘I live in Virginia. Immigration was the No. 1 issue,’ Psaki said, drawing laughter from Reid,” the paper detailed.
“‘Well, Virginia does have a border with West Virginia, a – very contested area,’ Maddow sarcastically chimed in, setting off more chortles from her co-hosts.”Har, har, har. Your distress is a source of amusement to the privileged leftist elite.
The Biden administration is not doing anything to solve the immigration crisis because it considers massive unchecked immigration a solution, not a problem. It is a way to blaze the path to a new governing order keenly desired by a ruling progressive establishment that calls the shots inside the White House today.
