Fan Mail for Parkland Shooter – A Wider Sickness
In a disturbing twist on the macabre events in Florida, the Parkland school mass murderer, Nikolas Cruz 19, is receiving stacks of fan mail, encouraging greeting cards, and unsolicited money for his commissary account in county lockup. This phenomenon isn’t new and has been categorized by forensic psychologists as a sexual phenomenon called hybristophilia. Or in layman’s speak, Bonnie and Clyde syndrome. To read more click here.
An Inconvenient Truth on Illegal Guns
Lately, the gun control movement has been working hard to promote their efforts to restrict Americans’ access to firearms. Using the shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, they have used the influence of the establishment media to push their anti-gun agenda. They manufactured a “grassroots” initiative to encourage students all over the country to participate in the “March For Our Lives.” But, the gun control movement is missing the point. Midterm Election Watch: Minnesota and Mississippi
In presidential elections, the state of Minnesota had not been won by a Democrat from 1860 through 1928. Since 1932, A Republican has carried the state only three times – and the last Republican to win in Minnesota was incumbent President Richard Nixon. President Donald Trump’s margin of defeat in 2016 was the narrowest of the past five general elections. He took 44.9% of Minnesota’s votes to Hillary Clinton’s 46.4%.
This demographic shift in voting habits is, of course, reflected in many states and Mississippi is no exception. Until 1964, the state had voted for a Republican only one time, when, in 1872, Mississippians chose incumbent President Ulysses S. Grant. Since 1964, a Democrat has never won in Mississippi.
