Illegal immigration may be a hot topic for politicians running for office, but as Americans, it should be an even greater area of concern. The left is determined to make us an open border country, allowing any and everyone in, no matter their criminal background. That’s why I feel it is important to highlight the serious crimes committed by so many illegal immigrants in this weekly report.
Week of November 15-21
This is not an analysis, but rather a report of the more serious crimes committed by illegal aliens. While there may have been many more, hundreds even, arrests of illegal aliens for simple infractions, here we concentrate only on the most dangerous of offenses.
Shots Fired at Two Police Officers
A routine traffic stop almost turned deadly for two police officers after 29-year-old illegal alien, Luis Cobos-Cenobio, reportedly opened fire on them and their vehicles.
…he even jogs up to the officer’s car and fires several shots into the windshield at point blank range.
Washington County Corporal Brett Thompson attempted to stop Cobos-Cenobio, which resulted in a short car chase before the suspect finally pulled over. However, when Cobos-Cenobio got out of his car, he started firing shots at Thompson. The officer returned fire and the suspect fled the scene. About 30 minutes later, he was pulled over by another police officer and started shooting at him as well, before once again escaping.
Fayetteville and Arkansas State Police joined the pursuit until the suspect was apprehended. He was treated for a wound to the left arm and shoulder before being put back into police custody. He is being held on a $500,000 bond and ICE has placed a detainer on him. His charges include four counts of attempted capital murder, committing a terroristic act, fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
This video shows Cobos-Cenobio firing on an officer multiple times. At one point he even jogs up to the officer’s car and fires several shots into the windshield at point blank range.
Convenience Store Clerk Murdered
Jose Bonilla-Ortiz, an illegal immigrant from Honduras who was previously deported in 2016, has been charged for the murder of a convenience store clerk. Bonilla-Ortiz, 18, and an unidentified male are seen on security footage browsing the Metro Food Mart where the victim, Bangladeshi immigrant Faruk Bhuiya, 48, worked.
According to reports, the two males looked around the store for a few minutes before allegedly gunning down Bhuiya. The video surveillance led police to Bonilla-Ortiz, but the other male is still unidentified and at large. The suspect is being held on a $250,000 bond.
The victim’s wife, Phyllis Bhuiya, said she was surprised to find out her new husband’s alleged killer was a teenager and offered prayers to the mother whose young son’s life has been dramatically altered. “I feel bad for this boy’s mother. His life is ruined. Ruined for nothing, absolutely nothing,” she said. Despite this compassionate response for the suspect’s family, she continued, “I want him [Bonilla-Ortiz] punished for what he did. He didn’t just take my husband. He took someone’s son, someone’s stepfather. He wasn’t just my husband. He was a lot of things to a lot of people.”
The couple lived directly behind the convenience store and had been married for less than two years.
