Former President Donald Trump on January 2 filed an appeal against the decision by Maine's Secretary of State Shenna Bellows to take his name off the 2024 Republican primary ballot. His filing contends that Ms. Bellows was biased in her decision to remove him, that she lacked legal authority to remove him, and that his removal was ultimately an illegal act.
