Biden’s Plan to Vaccinate Young Children Revealed

While the shot has yet to be approved by the FDA, the Biden administration is still going forward with its plans.

COVID vaccinations for children are almost here, at least according to the Biden administration, which announced a plan to get 28 million children aged five through 11 inoculated. The vaccine is still not approved by the Food and Drug Administration for that age range, yet White House officials indicated their readiness for every child in America five and older to get the shot.

During the Oct. 20 White House briefing, COVID-19 response director Jeff Zients explained to reporters:

“We know millions of parents have been waiting for a COVID-19 vaccine for kids in this age group. And should the FDA and CDC authorize the vaccine, we will be ready to get shots in arms. Kids have different needs than adults and our operational planning is geared to meet those specific needs, including by offering vaccinations in settings that parents and kids are familiar with and trust.”

Part of the operational planning includes a partnership with the Children’s Hospital Association “to work with over 100 children’s hospital systems across the country to set up vaccination sites in November and through the end of the calendar year,” the White House announced. With help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency funding, Biden’s plan includes making the vaccination available at “community-based sites” such as schools, doctors’ offices, and pharmacies.

Besides having tens of thousands of vaccination sites, the administration also plans to have doctors, nurses, and teachers inform parents of the benefits of the shot and the dangers of the virus. The Department of Health and Human Services will launch a public educational campaign “to reach parents and guardians with accurate and culturally responsive information about the vaccine and the risks that COVID-19 poses to children.”

However, as Liberty Nation recently reported, Dr. Nicole Saphier told Fox News that, regarding vaccines, “We don’t know if the data shows benefit v risk with it comes to this young age group.” She added, “We haven’t heard that it is what is necessary in the five-to-11-year-olds.” Still, as CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky told reporters, it would be recommended for kids to continue wearing masks in schools, even if the vaccine is approved.

Just as we have seen with employee vaccine mandates, there will likely be strong pushback. What answer will be offered to those parents who ask what good is this vaccine if children must still be somewhat isolated and wear masks? In Miami, FL, a private school issued parents a letter stating that children will have to quarantine at home for 30 days after being vaccinated. The reason? To protect the other children. According to the letter:

“Because of the potential impact on other students and our school community, vaccinated students will need to stay at home for 30 days post-vaccination for each dose and booster they receive and may return to school after 30 days as long as the student is healthy and symptom-free.”

The Biden administration claims to be preparing for when the FDA approves vaccinating young children, so has been stockpiling the vaccines to give nearly 30 million American children the shot. At least the first shot – as it has yet to be determined if children will need two inoculations or even if boosters will become a regularly scheduled medical requirement.

What will happen to those children whose parents refuse this experimental vaccine? Will they be forbidden from going to school? Will parents be penalized – or even prosecuted? What will happen to schools and their federal funding if tens of thousands of parents refuse to vaccinate their kids and, instead, begin homeschooling? Nothing the Biden administration has revealed thus far indicates anyone at the White House has considered that possibility.
