Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) once claimed to have “more than circumstantial evidence” that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians in 2016 to steal the election, but has never produced it. He also may have committed mortgage fraud, for which he is currently under investigation. But there is now a very serious additional reason why Russiagate is still a millstone around Schiff’s neck. A whistleblower has alleged that Schiff directly approved the leaking of classified information to the media – information damaging to Trump, related to the now-debunked Russian collusion story.

The whistleblower, obviously unidentified but described by Just the News as “a career intelligence officer who worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for more than a decade,” was interviewed by the FBI on more than one occasion some years later. Just the News obtained FBI 302 reports from the interviews after they were declassified by current FBI Director Kash Patel. In a statement, Patel said in part:

"[F]or years certain officials used their positions to selectively leak classified information to shape political narratives. It was all done with one purpose: to weaponize intelligence and law enforcement for political gain."

Democrat Whistleblower Busts Old Friend

In 2017, Schiff convened a staff meeting attended by the whistleblower, at which the congressman said they would leak classified information that would lead to the indictment of then-President Trump. The whistleblower said that when he pointed out this would be illegal, he was told not to be concerned because they would not be caught.

If that claim is true, it suggests the existence of a wider conspiracy against Trump. The leakers appeared to be quite confident they would not be exposed, meaning, presumably, they had co-conspirators within the Department of Justice and perhaps also in the media.

From 2017 on, the whistleblower “repeatedly” warned the FBI about the illegal plot. Apparently, no one was terribly interested in investigating Schiff. Given everything else that is now known about the effort to bring down or at least sabotage the 45th president, that doesn’t seem terribly surprising.

According to one of the FBI 302 interview reports, the whistleblower, who was a Democrat and considered Schiff a friend, “believed this activity to be unethical and treasonous,” referring to the planned leaking of classified information.

For his part, Schiff claims the whistleblower has already been deemed not credible – which shouldn’t surprise anyone. The question this raises, of course, is how this individual, lacking credibility, worked for more than ten years with Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee. How much trouble is the senator – a bitter and vocal opponent of President Trump – in now?

Patel vows, “The FBI will now lead the charge with our partners at DOJ, and Congress will have the chance to uncover how political power may have been weaponized and to restore accountability."
