Globalists hate to see Donald Trump coming. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, the president blasted the globalist agenda and projected American strength, delivering a forceful rebuke of efforts to erode liberty in favor of international control while letting dangerous problems fester. “There is no global government,” Trump said.
One of those problems, Trump argued, is Iran, a country he said world leaders had allowed to grow more powerful for decades while its regime funded terrorism and pursued nuclear capabilities.
Trump: ‘Annihilate the Islamic Republic?’
After blasting “other” nations for years of tough talk and little action, which effectively allowed Iran to build up its power, President Trump said he now faces a “big decision” on the number-one state sponsor of terrorism:
“Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before — maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East or even the world — or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic, and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again?”
Trump threatened to “drive them into Hell with no chance of survival” before shifting into a much more optimistic tone: “But I believe we’ll make a deal.” The president said he suspects Iran is dragging its feet on an agreement in hopes that the midterm elections will shift the political landscape in its favor — but Trump insisted the election doesn't even enter his mind when it comes to Iran.
“If we stand united, we will soon see a world free of the last 51-year menace of Iranian terror and oil prices will come plummeting down, even lower than they were at the start of the conflict,” Trump added.
Cuba, Mexico, and Communism
Turning to Cuba, President Trump accused the island’s regime of coordinating with “left-wing radicals and communist networks” in the US for decades, cultivating relationships with “subversive and radical groups such as the Communist Party USA, Antifa, and the Dumocrat Socialists of America.”
Trump said the United States won’t allow threats to establish themselves “anywhere in the Western Hemisphere” anymore and vowed to use the US military to keep America — and the world — safe. “Communism will never be coming to America — but freedom will be coming to Cuba and safety and security will be coming to Mexico,” the president stated. Perhaps a little foreshadowing of what to expect in the Caribbean?
A Globalist Beatdown
Prior to his UNGA speech last year, an escalator abruptly stopped on his way to the assembly, triggering concerns over another possible threat to his life. Conspiracy theories gained even more traction when the teleprompter malfunctioned in the middle of Trump’s speech. This year, though, the president’s address went off without a hitch, basically forcing the globalists in the room to sit through Trump’s verbal beatdown of the Human Rights Council for having little to say about the persecution of Christians while finding plenty to criticize about America enforcing its own immigration laws.
“It is deeply ironic that the United Nations has an entire institution, the UNESCO group of people and countries, devoted to protecting cultural heritage — yet, with their ceaseless promotion of mass migration, these globalists are actively destroying the greatest cultures and most extraordinary heritage in history,” Trump said. “There is no human right to illegal immigration, but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation.” Needless to say, Trump’s message to the UN throughout his speech was about as subtle as a brick through a window.
