All summer long, one poll after another told us that immigration was the number one hot button issue for the American electorate. Here we sit just a couple weeks away from perhaps the most significant midterm election in decades, and the polls are now saying what Americans really and truly care about is health care.
Don’t believe it for a minute.
Why? Because there are an estimated 7,000 Central Americans headed straight for the U.S.-Mexican border. Laura Ingraham calls it the “Mobile Mob,” and that very well may sum it up nicely. Political observers will likely note that a caravan manages to magically appear just about every year, much like this one in April, and that they usually fizzle out. But with the midterms on the horizons, this seems to be a gathering storm, and no one knows when or how it will stop.
The Advocacy Media is at it Again
If you watch the network news, you will see story after story of low-income families and their children on this trail of tears. It’s hot. It’s difficult. But the tired, the poor, the huddled masses are simply yearning to be free. What they don’t tell you is how many of these folks are ISIS or MS-13 or whatever. And there, my friends, is the rub. If even one in this crowd seeks to harm the American citizenry then what we have here is not an army of refugees but rather a national security emergency that should be met with all manner of force.
How insensitive of me, I know. But if we let this Mobile Mob into the U.S., what’s to stop all of Central America from emptying out and fleeing across our porous border? A wall is necessary, but we have none. Are we to believe all these folks decided to caravan just a few weeks before a looming American election on their own? I smell Soros money in this chaos, but it could be that the Democrats’ best-laid plans will backfire on them. As LN’s Mark Angelides points out, “[t]he calls for more immigration and an open border policy are nothing more than a grab for power, wrapped in a shining cloak of false virtue.”
Amen and amen. More illegals mean only one thing to the Democrats – more voters. And the Dems have proven they will do anything to get back power from the average working man and woman in this country. Yes, all those deplorables out there that pay their taxes and vote must be quashed at all costs. And this is the means by which they hope to regain power in this Republic.
Americans Want Borders
Despite a plethora of laws on the books, we have yet to use them as a way to keep our country a sovereign state. We shuck and jive our way through the very laws that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama once touted. But to be a good Democrat these days, you must aspire to save the world.
Is there anyone out there who remembers when Democrats believed that we need to take care of our own? Bobby Kennedy is a classic example of one who went to the poorest parts of America and told us that we must take care of our own first.
But let us not digress. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize. Let’s permit this caravan to keep on coming – right up until election day.
