Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is believed to have been aboard a helicopter that went down Sunday, May 19 in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province. Other media reports suggest the aircraft merely experienced a "hard landing."
Iranian media is reporting that rescue teams are on the way to the area. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and the governor of the province are also believed to have been aboard.
