It may have seemed that the Black Lives Matter movement was on the brink of becoming the most popular political outfit in the world. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson declared that BLM was likely the strongest political party in the United States. But today is a new day, and it seems the world is finally about to turn its back on the group that has strived so hard to hide its sinister and secretive ideology.
While many on the political right have been vocal in pointing out the Marxist roots and “anti-Capitalist” aims of BLM, the left-leaning media, politicians, and punditry have either willfully ignored it, or worse, attempted to aid in hiding these roots. And now the dam has broken, leaving the opportunists and charlatans swimming backward to hide the shame of their moral nudity.
The Collapse Begins
In early June, Mr. Brexit, Nigel Farage, compared the actions of BLM – in terms of tearing down monuments and destroying history – to the Taliban. Within days, it was announced that he would be leaving his enormously popular LBC radio show “with immediate effect.” A poor political move some might speculate, but as ever, Mr. Farage turns out to be ahead of the curve.
The leader of the British Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer, and his deputy, Angela Rayner, made political hay by posing for a photograph in which they both knelt to express solidarity with the cause. Just two short weeks later, and the U-Turns have begun. In a recent video, Sir Keir attempted to explain that while he supports the “moment” of black lives mattering, he holds no solidarity with the organization of the same name. So, what changed?
Exposing Roots
For any who care to open their eyes, the roots and aims of BLM have been clear from the very start. When they say they want to “abolish the police,” they mean it. When they say they want to “dismantle capitalism” (as clearly stated on their website), they mean that, too.
Patrisse Cullors, co-founder of BLM, openly admits that she is a “trained Marxist.”

Hawk Newsome, Chairman of BLM’s Greater New York chapter, speaking with the Daily Mail, announced that his group was in the process of training its members to become an armed militia to take on the police. “We have black Special Forces officers advising us, and we will teach and train people in our communities, the Black Ops department of Black Opportunities,” he said.
Highly trained Marxists getting ready to go to war with the police? Is it any wonder that politicians and the press are starting to “socially distance” themselves from their earlier support?
But Surely …
One wonders why it is that folks are only now coming to their senses on this issue. The information has been out there for all who care to look, and it’s not as though the leaders were at any point covering up their true intentions. So why do we only now have a turning of the tail?
A more jaded person might suggest that despite knowing only too well what BLM’s aims and nature were, those in positions of power sought to use the organization to sow division and rancor as a political tool in order to denigrate a 2020 election candidate. Why else would the media focus on a single death, and ignore the multitude of black deaths that followed in the violent, destructive protests? Why else would politicians allow their cities to be burned, their citizens to live in fear, and then take each media opportunity to lambast the president?
Black Lives Matter has served its purpose to the political elite and will now be swiftly ignored and packed away in a cupboard much like they were almost four years ago. They thought they were changing the world, but they thought wrong. The activists and supporters are nothing more than useful idiots whose vitriol was employed to shake a president’s approval ratings. That job is now done, and BLM is officially disavowed.
