Trump’s Tweet to the Squad Is Comedic Gold in the Heartland

Congress may be taken aback by Trump’s message to the Squad, but flyover folk are eating it up.

While the media and other leftist elites ignore the millions of folks living in “flyover” states, they do so at their own peril; it was this silent majority that put President Trump in the White House. Each week, Liberty Nation gives voice to the hard-working heartlanders who are silent no more.

It was a week with guffaws and unintended consequences as flyover folk came to the battle lines to support their president and rebuke “the squad” of four progressive congresswomen for their unabashed anti-American, anti-Semitic, hate speech.  In a controversial tweet that had conservatives sniggering, heartlanders high-fiving, and Democrats scrambling to find additional synonyms for the word “racist,” President Trump proceeded to call out “progressive congresswomen” for unsavory and ill-mannered behavior.

And then he advised the lot to go back whence they came.  For those off the grid this week, missing the veritable feculence hitting the fan that followed, he simply tweeted:

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly…

“And viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

Then all hell broke loose.  Although no names were tweeted, nor states, nor any specific details, four congresswomen stepped forward and cried “racist!” leaving no question to whom Mr. President was referring.  His tweet caused such a stir that members of the House of Representatives scurried about to formally condemn his words.

As always, the Democrats failed to see yet another ingenious Trump trap designed to make their party look, well, even more foolish than normal.  Of course, Trump’s supporters and more logical thinking folks came to the forefront of the latest skirmish of the airwaves and denounced the boneless, headless chicken ranch as simply desperate and hysterical.

During an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) weighed in, calling the self-styled squad the four horsewomen of the Apocalypse and with words much more incendiary than the president’s, insulted their intelligence:

“They are entitled to their opinion. They are Americans. But I’m entitled to my opinion, and I just think they are left-wing cranks and they are the reason that there are directions on a shampoo bottle.  I think we should ignore them.”

Flyover folks agreed – on the shampoo bottle analogy – but not so much on the “ignore them” part.  Let’s face it, most heartlanders reside in small towns and rural communities and they love to gnaw a bone for a bit.

Jeffrey Radue from Lone Rock, WI, knew the Trump trap caught another one. “Now that Trump has officially made the Dems embrace these idiots they are spinning at a fierce pace trying to change their image.”

From South Carolina, Rachel Guffey Carter weighed in with, “Love it! Glad we have someone who fights back instead of laying down like Bush did.”

And one flyover friend, Bob Harjo, was thankful for “The Squad.”

“Thanks ladies, keep up the good work. Keep pouring it on Trump, I for one love it. And so does President Trump, since you have been beating him up, his approval rating has gone up 4%, and is now at 50%. Keep at him and he will soon be at 55%. I’m surprised the democratic party hasn’t strangled you.”

But Thomas Fuller drove the party van into the ditch, “They don’t add up to a pimple on a Republican’s A%s.”

Oh, Tom, now that would get a condemnation in the US House of Representatives.
