An open letter to the Republican Party:
While you were idling time away fretting on a Supreme Court nominee, frothing to denounce a socialist upstart in New York, panicking over a potential “blue wave,” and bemoaning the perilous future of the Second Amendment, one state was abandoned and left to perish.
What were you people thinking? Signed – An alarmed, soon to be disarmed, electorate.
There is a war against freedom in America…
New Mexico, a state that felt the full force of a blue tsunami, will now pay dearly due to lack of attention from the Republican Party, Republican National Committee, and Republican Senatorial Committee. Only a short few weeks under full Democrat control – with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham at the helm of a Democratic super majority in the state legislature – and the Second Amendment is front and center on what locals are calling a gun control rocket docket.
And the blame falls squarely upon the shoulders of the Republican Party.
Did the GOP Simply Surrender?
The Land of Enchantment is the home of two million (Census counted) people who are used to being considered a flyover state. The terrain is harsh, but the views are spectacular, and the economy is only a tad better than stagnant – thanks to the decimation of the oil and gas industry by the last socialist-leaning administration, piloted by President Obama. But there is one absolute: New Mexicans will fight to the bitter end for their country and way of life.
Standing firm, and without much in the way of backup, to an unfriendly government, New Mexican Second Amendment patriots are asking to be seen and heard as they fight a battle – alone – to protect the U.S. Constitution. And they are woefully outnumbered.
Currently, the New Mexico state legislature has seven gun control bills in circulation for consideration, but these three are the most dangerous:
House Bill 8: “Universal” Background Checks – banning all private firearms sales between law-abiding individuals.
House Bill 40: Background Checks at Gun Shows – requiring criminal records checks on private firearms sales at gun shows.
House Bill 83: Extreme risk protection order or “red flag” legislation – authorizing the seizure of firearms and ammunition from individuals without due process.
Not unsurprisingly, the bored billionaire and former mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg, is financing the assault. Raymond Kelley, one New Mexican following local policy swings and surges on the Second Amendment, was quick to point out:
“They haven’t been able to get anything done at the Federal level so people like Bloomberg and Soros have shifted their strategy to local elections. Bloomberg has been spending millions in New Mexico over the past several years and he just might get his way in 2019, I’m afraid.”
If spending by political parties is any indication, Kelley is dead center with his predictions. In 2018, the Democratic Party and all arms and political action committees outspent conservative groups and the Republican Party, by more than three to one. That’s embarrassing and the results have proven tragic.
A Call to Arms
There is a war against freedom in America, and as front lines go, New Mexico is a state to watch, as tyranny unfolds before our eyes. Organizations like the National Rifle Association are rendering aid, yet political party resources remain scarce. New Mexico is desperate for help against the Democrats as they hope to preserve their rights, freedoms, and chosen way of life.
Some live in hardscrabble and remote locations, such as the high desert off of Interstate 40 near Moriarty. Others are on the border in Antelope Wells, Columbus, and Santa Teresa, or in the rough and tumble climes of the Northwest corner of the state. But they have one critical characteristic in common – they are constitutionalists in the fight of a lifetime.Whatfinger.com and newcomer ConservativeNewsDirect.com
