Snowflakes in September and a cold shoulder from New Mexico’s radical progressive politicians have the good patriots across the state fired up and ready to rally. Social chatter in the Land of Enchantment in anticipation of the president’s campaign visit on Monday is flooding media platforms and alarming the crabby Democrats of an uprising not yet seen in the desert.
Oh, yes, these folks are woke. And officeholders with the “D” next to their names are scurrying about desperately trying to appear tough and righteous as the man they cannot stand will fill to capacity the 7,000 seat Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho. Current attendance estimates show thousands more will be celebrating outside.
The Democratic Party of New Mexico is counteracting the certain to be massive rally by hosting their own events on Monday, the 16 of September: Transgender 101 Training and a New Mexico For All event at Tiguex Park in Albuquerque. Ah, yes, snowflakes in the desert. That’ll teach all the gun clutching, fossil fuel loving, rogue New Mexicans.
The excitement is in the air – and not from harvesting and roasting Hatch chilis. And folks are already assembling for the big event. All the way from the Show-Me State, Jeremy Boyts is conducting business with his pop-up shop, selling Trump gear. The entrepreneur travels the country following Trump’s rally schedule: “[President Trump’s] coming into town next Monday. We come in four, five days in advance, get the town really excited. If anything, stir the pot so that whenever it does happen, everybody is ready for it.”
Boyts discredits the local Democrat politicians who claim Trump is just out for rich white people, having observed crowds in 48 states, he says: “At least here in Rio Rancho, like, you see Hispanic people, you see Native people—you see every variation of person and I think really that’s what I take away from it.”
The Missouri man might want to be ready for heavy, happy, Trump traffic as the activist groups against the tyrannical state Democratic Majority are flooding social media. Melissa Fryzel posted on the San Juan County Patriots (SJCP) Facebook page: “Time to show our President New Mexico has his back. Click the image to get your tickets! Rally up. Start carpools and help disabled neighbors. This is OUR time!”
According to another SJCP member, Darryl Dunlap, the local groups have engaged with Oath Keepers, Bikers for Trump, Sons of Liberty Riders, and American Patriots III% after Antifa openly planned to use violence as a means of protest. “From the banter, we do expect them to get violent as they did in 2016, when Trump held a rally in Albuquerque,” Darryl said.
One local anti-Trump group was calling for protesters and sent out a laundry list of supplies needed, including face-covering bandanas from the Dollar Store, bottled water, band-aids, wound dressing materials and AAA batteries. Perhaps the group, Power through Peace, was fronting for Antifa, but the New Mexicans aren’t shrinking violets. Richard Tast offered his opinion at the possibility of thug violence at the rally: “ANTIFA plans on making a showing; mebbe New Mexicans can show them what the people in places like Portland Oregon don’t have the brass and cajonas to do!”
Andra Stradling weighed in as well. “Seriously. Truly pathetic to plan to hurt people and themselves. There will be a lot of faked news reports as well.”
But Mike Culver asked the million-dollar question: “Why would peaceful protesters need these supplies?” And his lifelong friend, George Reid from the Four Corners, had the answer, “That’s what I’d pack if I was planning on getting my ass kicked. Repeatedly.”
