Is Sen. Rubio Right to Defend UFO Whistleblower?

There may be very good reason UAP “evidence” is being kept secret.

When a sitting US senator says we must take the UFO whistleblower’s claims seriously, someone should ask why. It seems Marco Rubio (R-FL) makes a thoughtful case. Despite congressional testimony and NASA research claims, there is no evidence of extraterrestrial presence in any unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) studied so far. But more than a few say differently. Rubio and others believe understanding the origin of UAP sightings yet to be explained is a national security imperative. As Liberty Nation reported recently, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has formed a panel of experts from varied scientific disciplines, including “computational and data science, biological oceanography, astronomy, physics, along with a former astronaut.”

Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, director of the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), formerly the UAP Task Force, told the NASA panel at a recent public meeting the UAP database now has recorded more than 800 sightings, and between 2% and 5% are unexplainable – so far. Those reported sightings and independent testimony of the possible presence of materials and pieces of equipment of unknown origin have piqued Rubio’s interest. “Multiple whistleblowers with access to restricted government information have claimed first-hand knowledge about US activity involving UFOs, Sen. Marco Rubio said this week,” Henry Jost wrote in the June 30 Miami Herald.

UFO Whistleblower Says Different Species Fly UAPs

The statements by David Grusch, previously on staff at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency who also served at the National Reconnaissance Office and on the UAP Task Force, have brought his notions of non-human intelligence and their craft to the arena of public discourse. He claimed in an on-air interview with NewsNation’s Ross Coulthart there are numerous artifacts of alien, not manmade, craft being kept from the public by the US government.

Grusch established his credibility by stating he had the highest security clearances with the “ability to be read in” to any program, yet the “UAP Task Force was refused access to a broad crash retrieval program.” That sounds suspiciously like an information coverup. He maintains the US government has spacecraft from another species, but without access to the program, how did he know exactly what was retrieved? He can offer no eyewitness evidence.

The crash retrieval program could have included highly sensitive Russian or Chinese sensors or avionics  that the Pentagon did not want anyone to know about. Speaking to that point, Scott Bray, the UAP Task Force leader and deputy director of naval intelligence, told a May 17, 2022, congressional hearing, “If UAPs do indeed represent a potential threat to our security, the capabilities, systems, processes, and sources we use to observe, record, or analyze these phenomena need to be classified at appropriate levels.”

Jumping From UAP Are Unknown to UAP Are Non-Human

Though Grusch sounds credible, his evidence is secondhand. Furthermore, it fails in a critical aspect: His explanation goes from we don’t know the origin right to it must be another species, non-human. That might be jumping the shark. If you don’t know the origin based on only secondhand claims, why must it be another species? On the flip side, we don’t know that what Grusch claims is invalid, either. To that end, getting proof or at least plausible explanations is what Congress has undertaken. Now the subject of the UFO is emerging more prominently in media reports. As Jost explained:

“Congress has taken bipartisan action to protect government employees who testify about their knowledge of government work involving UAPs, and to compel government agencies potentially holding information about UAPs to disclose what they are up to. Last week, the Senate Intelligence Committee voted to withhold funding governmental agencies that research ‘unidentified anomalous phenomena’ and do not report their discoveries to Congress or the Director of National Intelligence.”

Rubio and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) have made the investigation into UAPs bipartisan and are serious about getting to the bottom of the sightings. Determining the origin of or explanation for these phenomena is critical to keeping the United States safe from threats and must be fully understood. “My biggest fear is that some adversary has made a technological leap. That would be really bad news,” Rubio told NewsNation. “And we’ve been caught flat-footed on it.” Whether folks like Grusch are correct or merely sensationalists will be determined in congressional testimony. Rubio, however, has a thoughtful point of view that is worth taking seriously.
