Bostock v. Clayton County

Ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County, on June 15, 2020, the majority opinion declared that “An employer who fires an individual merely for being gay or transgender violates Title VII.”

The question presented was:

“[W]hether an employer can fire someone simply for being homosexual or transgender.”
