Biden’s Abuse of Words Distorts His Policies

Redefining words makes anything possible.

Potholes are formations of systemic racism, and you can’t use the word “alien” to describe illegal aliens in U.S. immigration law. The danger of the Biden administration’s deliberate distortion of the meaning of words goes far beyond everyday politics. It points to a higher purpose that has been repeatedly exhibited ever since Joe Biden launched his sheltered yet ultimately successful campaign for the White House in early 2019. The aim: to keep the American people at arm’s length from those who are meant to represent them in Washington, D.C.

Speaking in Bad Faith

The word “bipartisan” is the latest widely understood term to go through the Team Biden definition shredder. “If you looked up ‘bipartisan’ in the dictionary, I think it would say support from Republicans and Democrats,” senior Biden adviser Anita Dunn said this month. “It doesn’t say the Republicans have to be in Congress.”

Biden senior adviser Mike Donilon echoed this enhanced interpretation, saying “bipartisan” referred to “an agenda that unifies the country and appeals across the political spectrum.”

This wordplay comes amid discussion of high-priced legislation that Biden wants enacted by Congress. Those not attached to his administration understand that the typical definition of the word bipartisan means legislation that attracts support from both sides of the congressional aisle. That Bidenites would deliberately spin a term so fundamentally obvious to the citizens they are meant to serve speaks volumes.

Communicating Their Unwillingness to Communicate

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has declared that “there is racism physically built into some of our highways” while discussing the administration’s multi-trillion-dollar infrastructure legislation push.

“The idea of infrastructure has always evolved to meet the aspirations of the American people and their needs. And it’s evolving again today,” his boss Biden said in an April 7 speech. “To automatically say that the only thing that’s infrastructure is a highway, a bridge or whatever, that’s just not rational. It really isn’t.”

What is remarkable in both these comments is the suggestion that taking issue with the deceit at work here somehow represents a denial of reality. But this is how the Swamp is meant to function.

Biden is the Establishment Man in the Oval Office. And America’s ruling Establishment operates best in the shadows. Clarity is the last thing it wants. Muddy the waters as you implement an agenda that defies the wishes of Americans. When the public presentation is cloudy, the real work behind the curtain can get underway.

Liberty Nation wrote in January that “[t]he walling off of the citizenry from its halls of government is being streamlined in the wake of the unrest at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Constructing barriers to separate the American people from their elected officials is openly referred to as the new normal.”

The intentional misuse of words is another powerful way to fence off citizens from elected officials. You inform a citizenry you care about. You deceive a people you do not. And the fact that Americans can readily see the results of the deception for themselves only reinforces the desired sense of public alienation from the halls of power.

[android-app align=”right”] In January, Biden promoted legislation that would remove the term “alien” from U.S. immigration law, replacing it with “noncitizen.” With an estimated 22-30 million illegal aliens now residing in this country, the American people have experienced the myriad problems that come with not enforcing the immigration laws of this nation. Increased crime and traffic accidents, reduced social cohesion, the reduction of blue-collar worker value. Calling aliens “noncitizens” does nothing to resolve the crisis, while putting the onus of negativity on American citizens and their “attitudes” about those who openly flout the nation’s laws.

Buttigieg knows Americans don’t believe a crumbling bridge is racist. But the Biden administration is going to frame the argument this way regardless, in effect removing the American taxpayer from the equation. If the bamboozle is successful, trillions of dollars will be allotted for purposes that do not remotely correspond with the basic, common-sense meaning of the legislation approved.

All that money will then be free to oil every squeaky Swamp wheel in existence. Distort, distance, and then split up the proceeds behind closed doors. It’s a recipe Biden knows like the back of his hand after nearly a half-century in Washington.
