Anti-Gun Girl Protests: Conservatives Under Attack on Campus

The liberal elite of American academia have no tolerance for true diversity of thought.

The tolerant left: They pride themselves on being the saner of the two sides of the aisle. Despite a complete acceptance for violent groups like Antifa, they like to think of themselves as the most compassionate, the most tolerant, the most grounded and concerned for mankind. Trump supporters, on the other hand, are billed as the racist, violent deplorables: the worst of humankind. So you might be surprised to find it was leftist students who harassed, threatened, and insulted a young woman for expressing her views on gun rights.

Kaitlin Bennett, a 24-year-old Kent State college graduate, gun rights activist, and anti-abortionist, made an unscheduled stop at Ohio University this week and was met with an angry mob of liberals who threw insults and drinks at her. At one point, the unruly crowd got so intense Bennett’s bodyguard picked her up and carried her for a bit. And all the while, campus police stood by and did nothing: They even refused to provide assistance when she specifically asked for help.

Commentator Mark Dice said, “What the students at @ohiou did to Kaitlin Bennett is beyond shameful. They’re a modern day version of the Maoist red guard.” Dice also posted a video of the incident on Twitter – be warned, it contains adult language.

Bennett made a name for herself when she posed in a white dress with an AR-10 strapped across her back. In her hand she held her graduation cap with the words “come and take it” standing out in bold relief. The image went viral and she soon became known as the “gun girl.” She travels to different college campuses to interview students on various topics, but the questions she asks and her way of framing them has made her a sort of public enemy number one with the liberal elite of American academia and the students they indoctrinate.

Using the Young

Young environmental activist Greta Thunberg is a good example of how instilling fear in the youth distorts logic and actions. She is also a prime illustration of how the media and the left discriminate against young people who do not share their values while raising their favorites to the upper rungs of the achievement ladder. Thunberg simply yelled “how dare you” and traveled around scolding adults for ruining her planet. For this, she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year.

Now, take Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann, who was shamed and insulted across media outfits and even the folks in Hollywood for something he didn’t even do. The lad has successfully settled one lawsuit against CNN and has more in the works, but where are all the apologies for this youth, who was maligned and had his reputation wrongfully destroyed by adults?

We see this type of liberal behavior across our schools and universities, and anyone having an opinion or thought not fitting in with their objectives is singled out and harassed.

As Liberty Nation’s Graham J. Noble explained:

“This manifesto for the complete destruction of America’s political and cultural foundations has not even progressed as far as a structured legislative proposal. Yet, it is already being sermonized to children in much the same way as Islamists preach their own twisted version of Koranic teachings to naïve young students in madrasas.

When children too young to develop critical thinking skills are taught that they face a threat so terrible that any means of eliminating that threat is justified, the result is that all those associated with the threat first face bullying and condemnation, then oppression and violence, and ultimately – if those measures are deemed insufficient – incarceration or even execution.”

Facing the Mob

Miss Bennett’s visit to Ohio University was reminiscent of Cersei Lannister’s Walk of Atonement in Game of Thrones – a famous scene where the character is forced to pay for her crimes by walking naked through the streets as the crowd spits, shoves, and hurls abuse at her. Although few would expect to see such punishment meted out in the modern-day U.S., the degree to which the college students followed, harassed, and verbally attacked Bennett was shameful. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is becoming more the norm than the odd occurrence.

Bennett has sent out a plea to President Donald Trump, imploring him to defund universities that allow this kind of intolerant behavior towards conservatives and Trump supporters. So far there has not been a response from the commander in chief, but what a boon it would be to once again allow free speech without threat of harassment by those with differing views. And what better way to achieve that in publicly funded schools than by going after the money?
