Well-known conservative Milo Yiannopoulos was run out of a New York bar on Sunday as socialists and at least two members of the mainstream media shouted: “Nazi scum get out!”
The story was covered by Tucker Carlson of Fox News, who couldn’t keep a straight face for more than a couple of minutes at a time. He interviewed Chadwick Moore, a gay conservative journalist who had been with Yiannopoulos at the time.
“Surely, we thought this place would be safe,” Moore said. “We made reservations. We just wanted a simple Sunday roast.”
Carlson laughed at the crowd’s antics, saying, “Wonder how many of those Democratic socialists have their own student loans. Probably none. That’d be my guess.”
Churchill’s, a restaurant on Park Avenue in New York, was named after the famous politician Winston Churchill. Carlson commented on the $16 salmon appetizers while Moore noted the nationalistic British flags hanging everywhere and wondered why the socialist group had decided to meet at such a location.
As Yiannopoulos and Moore entered the establishment, the crowd started jeering and chanting “Nazi scum get out!” The friends tried to go to their table, where their belongings were stashed, but the group swarmed and surrounded them:
“And then a very large, I think it was a woman, it looked like a woman-ish, shoved Milo, and that’s when we realized this was going to get very violent,” Moore said. “Milo said (to the staff), ‘I was a very big supporter of Trump in the last election and that is what this is about’.”

In attendance, and very active participants, were Annie Shields, editor of The Nation Magazine and Brendan O’Connor, a reporter for Gizmodo. Moore said he and Yiannopoulos left the restaurant, but O’Connor and others followed them outside. The Gizmodo reporter kept shoving a recorder in Milo’s face, trying to get quotes on outdated issues. Moore said O’Connor was “nervous and fumbling,” and Milo finally told the man to email him and he’d give him a proper interview.
Carlson said Fox News contacted O’Connor and his editor for an interview but were told to “’go ‘F’ yourselves’, because they’re writers,” he laughed.
“We were just two guys trying to have a lunch, trying to have some roast,” Moore said. But then, we all know how ‘tolerant’ the left is to anything and anyone not following their agenda. Violence, intimidation and name-calling are their weapons; intolerance is their motto.
Winston Churchill said it best when he said: “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
