Suppression, persecution, ridicule, denigration: the tools used to oppose those who follow the Christian faith. It is said that politics is downstream from culture, and in many ways this adage holds true, yet tides change, and floods occur; sometimes there’s backwash.

Christianity has historically shaped Western politics, and now in return, politics is seeping back and shaping how people worship, how they view their faith, and most importantly, how they are allowed to express their faith. What is the nature of the relationship between politics and religion in an increasingly secular culture? And does one factor possess more power than the other?

Liberty Nation spoke with Bob – known as “Bob the Builder” – a Christian speaker for Soco Films who regularly appears at Speaker’s Corner in the U.K. to make the case for a robust Christian ethic.
