The Walls are Closing in on Hunter Biden

Biden-the-younger best prepare for incoming.

Miranda Devine has been on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal like a dog on a bone. Now it appears she is about to reap the rewards for covering a story the establishment media repeatedly and purposefully quashed. On March 29, the New York Post columnist asserted on national television, “The dam is about to break” for Biden-the-younger. Indeed, there are signs that the walls are closing in on Hunter Biden, proving the plucky Australian’s predictions are on the precipice of panning out.

Big Boys Sniffing Around

A cover-up can only last so long, and when The New York Times sent three reporters in to do a Hunter Biden clean-up-on-aisle-nine story, everyone pretty much knew the jig was up for the president’s son. The Times’ March 16 article admitting the famed laptop was “authenticated” gave its rival newspaper a grand opportunity to crow. In keeping with its notable-quotable headlines, the Post responded to the NYT’s story by writing “Color Me Shocked!”

However, the timing of the Gray Lady’s come-to-Jesus moment is not mere happenstance. A federal grand jury has been quietly gathering evidence regarding Biden-the-younger’s tax affairs. Not paying taxes has tripped up many, and it appears to be providing a legitimate entry point for the Justice Department to dig into the grift and graft that many believe has been Hunter Biden’s stock-in-trade.

Don’t kid yourself; the folks at The New York Times have sources, and chances are good to excellent the “people familiar with the case” are whispering that it’s not looking good for the president’s son.

The famed laptop – which caused the suspension of the New York Post Twitter account and a virtual news media blackout prior to the 2020 election – is rife with information regarding Hunter Biden’s extremely lucrative international business dealings. It also contains multiple poorly disguised references to his father, who has publicly and repeatedly claimed that he has “never spoken to” his son “about his overseas business dealings.” However, the laptop represents potential political and perhaps even criminal vulnerabilities for the entire Biden clan, which is probably why reporting on it became verboten.

Worse still, 51 former intelligence officials went public with a signed letter claiming the laptop scandal had “the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” But as time has gone by, it appears the only “earmarks” of a Russian information op were those within the ranks of the American media, which refused to publish the story for fear that it might affect the election.

During its victory lap over the Times, the NY Post published a searing editorial titled “Spies Who Lie,” saying in part: “The 51 former ‘intelligence’ officials who cast doubt on The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop stories in a public letter really were just desperate to get Joe Biden elected president.”

The Plot Thickens

In a House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing for the FBI cyber division Tuesday, March 29, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) entered a “hard drive” he asserts is from Hunter’s laptop into the record. The Florida congressman kept after Asst. Director of the FBI’s Cyber Division Bryan Vorndran regarding the laptop’s whereabouts, which the FBI took possession of in 2019.

“So you don’t have it, you don’t know who has it, you don’t know where it is, you’re the assistant director,” Gaetz queried. Despite Vorndran’s reluctance to address any of those questions, Gaetz hammered down: “Do you know who we should put in that chair to ask these questions to?”

Then on March 30, Gaetz tweeted:

“BREAKING: Today I will be introducing the ‘Spook Who Cried Wolf Resolution’ to indefinitely bar security clearances for 51 intelligence officials who publicly lied and labeled the real contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation.”

There are, in essence, two stories here worth discussing – and both appear to be unraveling at the same time. The first issue is the disinformation campaign/media blackout that took place when Hunter’s computer splashed onto the scene just before the election. The other involves the raunchy, lurid contents of the laptop that could make the Biden family look like influence peddlers in a pay-to-play shake-down scheme. Both are damning to their respective parties.

Recently a prominent Washington, DC newspaper and Politico have joined the Amen chorus confirming “key content” from Hunter’s laptop. Why the sudden change of heart after 18 months? There can only be one reason: The grand jury is about to put its cards on the table, and Biden-the-younger has the losing hand.
