Terror has struck the heart of the British capital. Yesterday, March 22nd, five people were killed and forty injured in a terrorist attack near Parliament in London.

The British police believe the violence was motivated by terrorism.  Fox News reported, “Acting Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner and Head of Counter Terrorism Mark Rowley said there was only one attacker who authorities believe was ‘inspired by international terrorism.'”

While the name of the terrorist has not been released, British authorities know that the attack was motivated by radical Islam.  The Guardian states:

The prime minister, Theresa May, said the attacker was British-born and had been investigated “some years ago” by MI5 in relation to concerns about violent extremism. She said the man, whose identity would be revealed in due course, was “not part of the current intelligence picture.”

In typical left-wing establishment media fashion, NBC News reporter Matt Bradley played the part of apologist regarding Islamic terrorism and expressed his concern that events such as these would only serve to help conservative politicians. (I’m not making this up.)  Newsbusters cited Bradley’s report:

“We’ve seen this rise of a kind of a right-wing movement here and throughout Europe. And this is only going to put wind in the sails of those who would say that this is an issue that needs to be looked at, that needs to be examined in terms of refugees.”

This is reprehensible, but not surprising.  The media regularly uses its platform to promote their leftist narrative.  The main thrust of this story should be the fact that people died in a violent attack while going about their everyday lives, not the fact that people might vote for conservative politicians.  Bradley’s report only serves to expose the establishment media’s true objective further: They are not as concerned with the threat of Islamic terrorism as they are with the potential impact an attack might have on their leftist ideological interests.

The American establishment media has been criticized for reporting news in a way that promotes their agenda, and this is a memorable example. During the recent presidential election, they pushed hard to get their candidate elected, and they failed.  Mr. Bradley’s news report is a prime illustration of the reason why Americans no longer trust the media.  Quite simply, they are more concerned with furthering their narrative than they are with reporting the news.  In this case, they have shown their willingness to use a tragedy to cynically perpetuate their political views.

American Pravda is not what U.S. citizens want or need.  If the establishment media continues to ignore this simple fact and feed their viewers, readers, and listeners this type of propaganda, Americans will continue to tune and dial out and find other uses for newsprint – like the bottom of a bird cage.
