It’s Christmastime: a season for cheer and celebration, worship and remembrance. It is a time for traditions, both old and new, as we set up Christmas trees, wrap presents, bake goodies, and binge on Netflix holiday movies. But it’s also the time of year when the selfish and miserable like to make an appearance, trying to steal Christmas cheer from others. We know them as Grinches, those unfortunate souls who just won’t be happy unless everyone else is miserable. Liberty Nation calls out those freedom-steeling bandits with our list of 2021’s Grinches.
#5 – WHO / Whos
[memberzone align=”right”] The World Health Organization (WHO) makes the list of Christmas Grinches because of its frequent inconsistencies and support of vaccinations while at the same time telling some countries to stop their booster plans. “Blanket booster programs are likely to prolong the pandemic, rather than ending it,” said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus during a press briefing on Dec. 22.
The executive director of the WHO Health Emergencies Programme, Dr. Michael Ryan, said vaccine inequity is “the most horrific injustice of 2021,” and Gen. Tedros let his inner Grinch show by suggesting people essentially cancel Christmas plans with family and friends: “An event canceled is better than a life canceled. It is better to cancel now and celebrate later than to celebrate now and grieve later.”

#4 – Unvaccinated, Your Time Is Up
The Democratic mayor of Chicago, IL, Lori Lightfoot, has had a year of epic failures. Back in May, the black politician married to a white woman said she would not give interviews to white journalists. More recently, she has come under fire for the rapid increase in crime in the Windy City, and now the mayor has announced more COVID restrictions on her constituents. Starting January 2022, the unvaxxed will not be allowed to go to bars, restaurants, or gyms. In a tweet, Lightfoot wrote:
“To put it simply, if you have been living vaccine-free, your time is up. If you wish to live life as w/the ease to do the things you love, you must be vax’d. This health order may pose an inconvenience to the unvaccinated, and in fact it is inconvenient by design.”
Dr. Seuss’ Grinch song has a perfect line for this Democratic leader: “Your heart is full of unwashed socks, your soul is full of gunk,” Mrs. Grinch.
#3 – Protests are Constitutional, Unless They Happen at the Capitol

No list of Grinches would be complete without Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in one of the top slots. This gourmet ice cream-loving lawmaker didn’t earn any marks on the nice list when she impeached former President Trump – twice – or when she formed the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot Committee to punish those who dared protest against her side.
Perhaps one of her biggest blunders this year was telling the media they weren’t doing their jobs because they were not selling the president’s Build Back Better plan well enough. During a press conference in October, when questioned why the infrastructure plan wasn’t getting enough support, she told the press: “Well I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you.”
In the words of Dr. Seuss: “You’re a nasty-wasty skunk.”
#2 – Don’t Go Home for Christmas
Nothing says Christmas like telling Americans not to go home for Christmas. But that is basically what Dr. Anthony Fauci has been preaching. If you are already home, don’t invite anyone who isn’t vaccinated. In a recent interview with MSNBC, the White House’s infectious disease expert said, “We’re dealing with a serious enough situation now that if there’s an unvaccinated person, I would say, ‘I’m very sorry, but not this time. Maybe another time when this is all over.’”
Who has been able to trust the words of this man? His advice seems to change faster than a mood ring. Don’t wear a mask; wait, no, wear one. Two weeks to curve the pandemic – but we’ve been at it now going on two years. It’s okay to travel. Nope, not anymore – time for restrictions. On and on the contradictions continue to build up. And then, we can’t forget the alleged puppy crimes reportedly committed while testing diseases on Beagles. Nor should we ignore the released documents that show the good doctor may have lied to Congress about his involvement with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where many believe COVID originated.
Dr. Fauci, “You’re a bad banana with a greasy black peel!”
#1 – Winter Is Coming

It’s all about doom and gloom in the White House. President Joe Biden has been on the warpath against the unvaccinated, doing everything he and his administration can to shame and condemn those who don’t want to get the jab. On the White House website, an ominous message was penned, saying “For the unvaccinated, you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families, and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm.”
As the Omicron variant (which has only cost one American life, so far as we know) spreads across the world, the push to close down America is on its way once again. Never mind that the symptoms are far milder than the Delta strain, infecting the vaccinated and unvaccinated indiscriminately. It is time to put more restrictions on the American people for what Biden has called a “dark winter.”
But Mr. Biden has a lot more to account for on the naughty list than how he’s handling the COVID pandemic. The withdrawal from Afghanistan comes to mind. Just four months later, Afghanis are starving, inflation is soaring, and crime is … well, unspeakable. Then we cannot forget our own border crisis with swarms of illegals crossing into the U.S. and being taken, under the cover of night, to other states without the local governments’ approval or knowledge.
In the words of Dr. Seuss, “You’re a mean one, Mr. Biden – er, Grinch.”
