Heartlanders Call for Biden to Step Aside

Is the commander-in-chief unfamiliar with the motto “leave no one behind?”

Editor’s Note: From the Back Forty is Liberty Nation’s longest-running and most popular weekly column. Capturing the truth each week from heartlanders in flyover states, LN gives voice to the hard-working Americans otherwise ignored by the coastal elites.

Kabul airportSkipping over the wish for articles of impeachment to be drafted, many in the heartland are simply calling for President Joe Biden to step down over the debacle in Afghanistan. From veterans expressing shame in their commander-in-chief to grieving Gold Star families feeling their loved ones may have died for nothing, angry Americans demand answers and retribution. Politicians now squabble over who to blame, if it’s time to invoke the 25th Amendment, and what to do about the 15,000 or so Americans left in a country now overrun by the Taliban.

They should be fine. There must be a plan, right? No is the short answer. Instead, Americans and Afghani aids and employees hoping to leave must make their way to the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, which is under fire by Taliban forces. Infuriated, Debbie Biersdorfer in Pleasant View, TN, warned: “Biden and his handlers are responsible for every drop of blood that is shed. May God have mercy on your soul.”

The U.S. government’s state department, which began the process of disbanding a bureau dedicated to assisting Americans abroad, is ground zero for those left behind. As Liberty Nation reported:

“The Contingency and Crisis Response Bureau, known as CCR, was set up by former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo under the direction of President Trump to deal with such contingencies as evacuating staff and providing an emergency medical response. But with the Biden administration keen to undo just about every policy and program created during the Trump years, the CCR was put on the chopping block.”

Is the commander-in-chief unfamiliar with the motto “leave no one behind?”

When Burying Oneself Takes Too Long

Mr. Biden was called back to work from Camp David as all Hell broke loose in Afghanistan. He has since made what some might call unforgivable statements. After a brief speech to address the mess, Mr. Biden immediately headed back to the presidential retreat. Biden spoke one-on-one with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News and offered an excuse for the bloodshed: “I think they’re going through sort of an existential crisis about do they want to be recognized by the international community as being a legitimate government. I’m not sure they do.” When asked about the violence at the airport in Kabul, Mr. Biden claimed, “No one’s being killed right now — we got 1,200 out yesterday, a couple thousand today. And it’s increasing. We’re gonna get those people out.” With that last statement, Biden physically knocked on wood – which would give anyone confidence in their leader.

But one elected official spoke out: U.S. Rep. Van Drew (R-NJ) opined:

“Honest to God, I cannot believe I’m saying this, it literally is time for this president to resign. It is time for this vice president to resign. It is time for the Senate president and speaker to resign. We need new people, even new Democrats, hopefully, that are moderates. We can’t keep doing this.”

Patriot Sergio Carrero agreed: “We have to get rid of corn pop, the giggler, and the crypt keeper Nancy.”

A Bungled Border

The president doesn’t get a pass for the border crisis, either. Maury Hemelder Parker of River Ridge, LA, states:

“Biden is incompetent and needs to be gone! Leaving our border open is another mistake he is making. Do any of you not believe terrorists are already crossing with their bombs? Many souls will be lost because of his incompetence. I guess he will blame terrorists crossing the border on Trump, because Trump didn’t finish the wall. Biden will somehow forget the wall wasn’t finished because of him and his cronies blocking all efforts.”

“If there were any honor within the whole of government, he would be impeached, removed, and tried for treason,” explained Mike Hobbs from down around the border in New Mexico – and you can imagine the follow-up comments.
