Independent Thinking Is a Racial Ability?
In yet another episode of Joe Biden Says the Darndest Things, the godfather of gaffe gave Latinos credit for being able to think for themselves – while saying blacks can’t. Who knew independent thought was a racial ability?
Liberty Nation’s Leesa K. Donner explains just how unfortunate this comment was:
“For sure, Mr. Biden cannot afford to alienate black Americans, who presumably will be in his camp once he announces what all expect to be a black woman as his vice-presidential pick. And taking voters for granted is never a winning philosophy, as Hillary Clinton can attest.”
The Biden campaign tried to play it off as if the former vice president didn’t pay Latinos a complement by insulting the black community, but racist words can’t be unsaid – especially in the age of the internet.
What to Watch For
It’s unclear just yet how many black voters will forgive yet another racist comment by the presumptive Democratic nominee, but don’t be surprised to see President Trump steal a few from Biden every time the former VP opens his mouth about race and inserts his foot. That said, expect the left to shrug this off and pretend it never happened now that Biden has issued his “clarification.”
Too Long in the Swamp?
When Joe Biden isn’t busy saying weird things that should leave even his most ardent supporters looking for another candidate, he spends his time reciting the most recent progressive talking points. He seems to believe this is enough to fool the people, but for anyone who has paid attention to his four-decade political career, the Swamp stains on this critter are easy to see.
Liberty Nation’s Joe Schaeffer explains:
“For better or worse, Trump brings an authenticity onto the playing field that his opposition seems to lack. It is a vitally important trait that a befuddled political and media establishment, not bearing this characteristic itself, has never been able to understand.
Hiding in his basement and parroting whatever social justice buzzword graces the front of The New York Times that day reveals nothing about Biden. But a lifetime spent in the halls of power in Washington, D.C., does. And a look at that tenure makes one thing clear: Biden doesn’t want to do anything; he wants to be something.
Capping off his long political career by grabbing the biggest brass ring of all is the full extent of Biden’s 2020 vision.”
Most progressives are aware of this; they just think that once he’s in office they can manipulate him.
What to Watch For
Democrats hope that hatred for Trump is enough to send both moderates and progressives alike flocking to Biden. But will Joe’s inauthenticity be his undoing? Oddly enough, Biden still polls well in some demographics. Between this canned presentation and his tendency to say very unfortunate things at random, Biden looks to be his own worst enemy.
Washington Whispers & Other Juicy Tidbits
Be on the lookout for:
- We still don’t know who Biden’s pick for VP will be, but he’s allegedly close to making a choice. Biden quipped to Fox News that he had already chosen, but the campaign later “corrected” that by saying it was a joke. Whether Joe was joking or just confused, we still don’t know who his running mate will be or if he even knows. So far, Kamala Harris and Susan Rice still top the most likely list.
