Editor’s Note: While the media and other leftist elites ignore the millions of folks living in “flyover” states, they do so at their own peril; it was this silent majority that put President Trump in the White House. Each week, Liberty Nation gives voice to the hard-working heartlanders who are silent no more.
Michelle Obama thinks that voting by mail is “long overdue.” Democrats are following along with a vote by mail mantra, and Dr. Anthony Fauci is trying to scare the hell out of Americans by claiming he “can’t guarantee” that it will be safe to physically vote at polls in November. It seems a memo was smartly distributed on the heels of California admitting to vote-by-mail fraud. And flyover folks not only smell a fat rat but are lacing cheese with Coumadin and baiting the coastal elites in a double-dog-dare-you kind of way.
Is Mrs. Obama angling for a number two spot with the handsy presumptive nominee? Some say the Dems are attempting to stuff the sausage into the blanket by dangling an Obama for the Biden ticket. Others feel Michelle must be bored in lockdown and just wants to stay relevant. For a woman who made school lunches inedible, why anyone wants her advice on how to vote is highly questionable. And much like another former first lady, she annoyingly persisted on Twitter: “No American should have to choose between making their voice heard and staying safe.”
She then followed with why voting by mail, early voting, and online registration is so important. Michelle’s popularity in middle America is rocky at best. Former North Carolina first grade teacher Naomi Crunkelton laid down the law to the Dems:
“Really bad idea! Too easy for fraud. People go to the store with masks and gloves, they can vote in person with masks and gloves. Democrats always make it sound like they are looking out for the people, but this is just one more way to manipulate an election.”
Kristi Craft, anchored at home in Crawfordsville, IN, also thought the idea to be a hysterical liberal Hail Mary at best: “If it’s safe to go to the grocery and to get take-out food then it’s safe to go vote,” she said, getting a thumbs up from Texan Lori Hitchcock Sanders, who replied, “If you can go grocery shopping you can stand in line to vote.”
Out of the arguments against Mrs. Obama’s election meddling, one former mayor in the great state of Utah, Mike McGee, presented this thought for every red-blooded American: “No one could ever guarantee that physical voting would be safe – from the day this nation was founded. Nothing has changed. We’ve always been advised to wash our hands, not touch our faces, and distance ourselves from the sick.”
But the common theme throughout was echoed by Arkansan Wayne Weatherford, who believes every polling place should require “photo ID and ICE attendance.”
Flyover folks are not going to let the left dictate how they worship, vote, or live their lives in general. For several weeks, the people in the middle of this great nation have complied with guidelines from the federal government and their individual state elected representatives, and remained dedicated to helping their neighbors during COVID-19. But that goodwill will not extend to attempts to erase American rights and take away what seems to be a dwindling set of freedoms.
These Americans will not stand for it.
