If any more proof were needed that the Democratic Party is now under the complete control of the extreme left, it came in the form of capitulation to the hatemongers of the progressives movement. Anti-Semitism is a problem with which Democrats refuse to deal because, in truth, it permeates the ranks of their party and they cannot bring themselves to condemn it.
Having decided to introduce a resolution condemning the constant stream of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel statements from one of their own, House Democrats have backed down in the face of a backlash from Progressives. The resolution has been delayed while Democrats re-work it to satisfy the party’s extremists. In doing so, they are acknowledging that anti-Semitism, when practiced by a Democrat, is acceptable. The proposed changes to the resolution will drastically water-down its original purpose, which was to chastise Representative Ilan Omar (D-MN) for her inability to refrain from smearing Jews and railing against Israel.

New Resolution an Excersize in Cowardice
It should come as no surprise, given the current political climate, that the new resolution – expected to now be introduced on Thursday, March 7 – will, in reality, be directed more at President Donald Trump and conservatives in general than at the radical Islamist from Minnesota.
Omar’s name will not even be mentioned in the resolution, meaning that her party has decided to implicitly accept her prejudice. Instead, the new statement will be nothing more than a cowardly sidestepping of the inherent anti-Semitism of the Democratic Party.
“The sentiment is that it ought to be broad-based,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) told Politico. “What we’re against is hate, prejudice, bigotry, white supremacy, Islamophobia, and anti-Semitism.” In other words, Democrats have decided to avoid calling out their progressive wing and, instead, will use the resolution to, once again, brand conservatives with the usual labels.
Islamists and Anti-Semites Now in Control
The mere fact the new progressive/socialist overlords of the party have insisted on including “white supremacy” and “Islamophobia” in the resolution tells one everything one needs to know about what the Democratic Party has become: A clown-show of fools who pander to radical Islamists and radical leftists – utterly unwilling and unable to accept responsibility for the hateful ideology spreading among their own elected members of Congress.
Without a doubt, this is a new party. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is a mere figurehead as House Speaker. She no longer commands the respect of the rank and file. The young radicals are driving the Democratic Party bus over a cliff and the old guard has abandoned any attempt to retake the wheel. This all bodes well for Republicans going into 2020, who will be able to argue that anti-Semitism and the abandonment of Israel as an ally is now part of the Democratic platform.
