Veering erratically into the midterm season, with 99% of the primaries over, the president gave a speech that no one seemed to watch. Meanwhile, a heat wave in California had Heartlanders chuckling over perplexed commuters. But the week started off with more embarrassing – or one would think embarrassing – tales of Hunter Biden doing what he does best. It did involve prostitutes and drugs.
Semi-Fascist Speech Irks Even Those Who Didn’t Watch
Well, here we are in the final sprint to November 8 and the referendum vote on the Joe Biden administration. As such, the commander-in-chief decided to deliver a speech – not to boast of his successes, of which there aren’t any, but to trash-talk former President Donald Trump and half of the electorate. Flanked by Marines, Mr. Biden was obviously attempting to send a message.
In accordance with tradition, most media drop everything to listen to the leader of the free world. Not this time. The nation’s big three networks did not air the “Semi-fascist” speech. Instead, ABC Aired Press Your Luck, CBS ran a Young Sheldon rerun, and NBC went with a Law & Order repeat. But those who did watch the incendiary speech – aired by CNN and MSNBC – counted 31 times Biden used the word ‘democracy’ but never mentioned anything he has done in nearly two years – instead, just a diatribe against the Republican Party and MAGA folks. In Ottawa, Il, Scot Kelly opined, “The Fascist last night was the guy giving the speech and his supporters.” So, there’s that.
Surprisingly, ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Mary Bruce, probably while watching the game show instead, commented later, “It’s interesting because midterms so often are a referendum on the current President. Biden is trying to make this a referendum, in many ways, on the former President.”
Lisa Robison in Tennessee was not pleased, but did admit she watched a bit of the broadcast a day later: “Disgraceful that Biden used Marines as stage props… just one year after his incompetence cause the killing of 11 Marines. Never has any president used our military as a part of a campaign speech.” Even CNN anchor Brianna Keilar agreed and tweeted: “Whatever you think of this speech, the military is supposed to be apolitical. Positioning Marines in uniform behind President Biden for a political speech fly in the face of that. It’s wrong when Democrats do it. It’s wrong when Republicans do it.” Is the media becoming a bit afraid of this administration? Not impressed, Marc Young piped up from Sealy, Texas, “I watched my alma mater play football. Glad I did. I get angry enough at the coach for his poor decisions. Don’t need a POTUS that would make me do the same.” And Forrest Merrill in Everton, MO, was having a fit of laughter, “ LOL. Upstaged by a ‘Young Sheldon’ rerun.”
But Steven Stein from Medina, OH, warned: “The most hypocritical and dangerous speech I have ever heard uttered by any *president ever. Chilling in its presumptions.” Chilling indeed.

Eh, Just Stay Home
Ahead of the Golden State’s ban on sales of new gas-powered cars in 2035, gasoline prices are at the highest Labor Day weekend levels ever, at $5.25 in some locations. But that might encourage folks to go out and spend $60,000 on a new electric vehicle. Well, not so fast: California dreamers are being told not to charge their cars in the late afternoon and early evening hours as part of a “Flex Alert.” The Flex Alert is a nice way of saying rolling blackouts, for those who live in red states that aren’t consumed by progressive ideology.
So, you can’t afford to drive your gas guzzler. Now you can’t charge the EV in the driveway. Happy Labor Day, suckers. In Louisville, KY, Mark Meurer scratched his head: “ I don’t understand Californians. They keep voting for these nut bags and expecting different results. Isn’t that the definition of insanity?”
Gayla McFarlane from Tulsa wins the best comment of the week award with a warning to the peasants about Governor Gavin Newsom: “Flex alert… that’s for you peons, not the elites. Just keep that in mind when you go to the ballot box — ‘We need to fill our pool — not you ( even though there’s a severe water shortage) we need to keep our lawn green — not you, (Drought ongoing) I can go out and dine with my friends — but you must stay quarantined. Remember, YOU can oust them out of office!”
Yes, America, power belongs to the people.
Hunter Biden – The Gift That Keeps on Giving
Well, Hunter Biden is back to upset and entertain folks all in the same breath. A week ago, snapshots and videos began circulating online of the First Son in various embarrassing (to some) situations. There is a claim from hackers that these particular screenshots are from Hunter’s iCloud account. Users on the anonymous English-language imageboard website, 4chan, claimed they hacked this account. Although the source is not confirmed, Flyover folks were happy that Hunter belonged to the Biden family, not theirs.
Several videos are pretty entertaining: there’s the beach walk taken by Hunter in perhaps unsavory company, and then the one where he is doing drugs in the shower with a gal who calls him her “future baby daddy.” The kicker is the out-and-out verbal argument with a prostitute about the amount of crack he has on him.
Could this latest Hunter exposure put a dent in the Biden administration? Nah, as patriot John Chatzitsakos reminded, “But, but, but Jan 6. though.”
