Bannon Calls on Jewish Americans to Help Fight Establishment RINOs

In preparation for the 2018 midterm elections, Steve Bannon called on American Jews to join forces with him to oust the GOP establishment. With a speech to Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), he urged the powerful demographic to "work as partners" in removing the roadblocks to President Trump’s agenda.

Bannon is targeting every sitting Republican in the Senate except Ted Cruz (R-TX), who has been warming up to Trump to the surprise of, well, everyone. Specifically, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is in the crosshairs.

As other prominent Swamp Dwellers have bowed to the pressure of the Bannon Army, surrendering with nary a skirmish, McConnell marched right to his Jewish casino billionaire friend, Sheldon Adelson, and began the first true battle for control of the Republican Party.  Adelson, without hesitation, broke ranks with Bannon:

“The Adelsons will not be supporting Steve Bannon’s efforts,” Andy Abboud, an Adelson spokesman, told Politico on Monday, referring to Adelson and his wife, Miriam. “They are supporting Mitch McConnell,” the Kentucky senator who is the Senate majority leader, “100 percent. For anyone to infer anything otherwise is wrong.”

They did not mince words.  Perhaps McConnell will live to toadstool hop another term.  But not all conservative Jews support McConnell.  Recently, McConnell’s allies labeled Bannon an “anti-semitic and white supremacist,” which infuriated Matt Brooks, the director of the Republican Jewish Coalition.

“We defended him aggressively when he faced these accusations from the left, and I’ll defend him when he faces these accusations from the right.” The attacks came in the context of a primary challenge in Nevada from a Bannon-backed candidate, Danny Tarkanian, to the state’s incumbent Republican senator, Dean Heller.  Brooks noted that the RJC’s affiliated PAC will back Heller in 2018 and will likely face off against Tarkanian. “Dean Heller is a perfect example where Bannon and the RJC are on different sides, but I will absolutely defend Bannon — he is not anti-Semitic.”

Morkton Klein, president of the ZOA, vociferously came to Bannon’s defense, shaming McConnell: . “What Mitch McConnell’s people are doing is a disgraceful political act, promoting an ugly lie about someone he disagrees with,” Klein said. He then went on to say that the attacks on Bannon’s character had caused him to lose respect for McConnel.

With Bannon’s army wiping out anti-Trumpers, the Grand Old Party must take this movement a bit more seriously. America elected a Republican president one year ago, and GOP candidates coasted to the majority thanks to the brash, outspoken, and unfiltered billionaire next door. The McConnells, McCains, Corkers, and Ryans need not rest on their laurels, for the Rebel that drove the dark-horse candidate into the highest position of the land is after them with a vengeance.
