Migrant Caravan Turns Down Mexico Asylum

by | Oct 29, 2018 | Articles, Immigration, Law, Politics

As thousands of Honduran and Central American migrants march across the rough climes of Mexico, the southern border of the United States is bracing for the inevitable invasion and subsequent collateral damage of innocents, who now find themselves pawns, in a dangerous political game of one-upmanship.

President Trump’s pleas – even outright threats – have rallied the Mexican government to step in and offer refuge and assistance through a generous program dubbed, “Estas En Tu Casa,” or “You Are in Your Home.”

And these immigrants would do well to accept a future in Mexico. After all, the language is familiar as are the customs, cuisine, religion, and racial dominance – all intertwined since birth. The dream of a better life awaits. Mexico has invited the members of the caravan to stay in a familiar place with the promise of shelter, employment, healthcare, education, and immediate financial assistance.

But instead, immigrants are doubling-down on coming to America. Why?

Perhaps there is much more to the story than the so-called American Dream.

Tin-Foil is the New Black

Once whispered as if taboo, except to members-only circles of the similar minded, there now emerges the outspoken speculation that money and power within America’s borders are the driving force behind the caravan.”Ruthlessly and without care, these funders have become the gasoline that fuels the caravan toward our southern border. Naturally, they are not taking responsibility for the fire they are igniting that just may turn into a deadly inferno.

It’s not difficult to find this hypothesis on social media, even though it is routinely met with rancorous discourse from the left and right, but when the Vice President of the United States utters a similar theory, there is reason to sit up and take notice. So, one can assume that when Mike Pence verbalizes this supposition, there must be some meat on the bone:

“What the president of Honduras told me is that the caravan was organized by leftist organizations, political activists within Honduras, and he said it was being funded by outside groups, and even from Venezuela. So the American people, I think, see through this – they understand this is not a spontaneous caravan of vulnerable people.”

Venezuela? They can’t afford toilet paper, or to feed their own citizenry – let alone fund a mobile mass of humanity.

In fact, the organizer, Pueblo Sin Fronteras (People Without Frontiers), is the Honduran organization behind the march across Central America. Honduras is not exactly flush either, so where are they getting resources to finance such a costly endeavor? And this caravan, as any good political stunt, is a big-ticket item for sure. Thousands of people require food, water, shelter, and (hopefully) sanitary facilities.

Even beleaguered Bill O’Reilly, who may be out at Fox News but has a steady, faithful following, was quick to point the finger at American Democrats for coughing up the dough that began all this chaos:

“Because Pueblo Sin Fronteras is based in Honduras, it is not required to list its donors. But you can safely assume that it’s not money from Tegucigalpa that’s powering this engine.  A good guess is that shadowy far-left political groups in America are putting up the cash.”

In the political world of late, we have witnessed stranger things than this for certain. So, is this notion of affluent leftist Americans bringing an invasion to our doorstep really all that hard to grasp?

Even the exhausted marchers, who have denounced Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto’s most generous offer of “home,” express sentiments eerily reflective of the Democrat’s scripted Dreamer narrative. “We’re going to the United States. Because that’s our dream,” 28-year-old Honduran Daniel Leonel Esteves told Reuters.

Sound familiar?

DefCon One

Exactly how many migrants remain in the caravan is as hotly debated as the subject of immigration being permitted through refugee status. Hundreds have already returned home to Honduras, 1,700 applied for asylum in Mexico, and officially, our southern neighbor says there are fewer than 4,000 trudging north to the United States.

One thing we do know is that most Americans want this caravan to stop, and security enforced at the border – which is why President Trump has deployed military troops to assist border patrol.

Leesa K. Donner of Liberty Nation offers a broader perspective on the “Mobile Mob” and the various political pitfalls sure to follow the arrival of the caravan. But one thing remains abundantly clear: Immigration is still the hottest button in politics as we careen towards mid-term elections.

As the caravan continues to head north, we must acknowledge that if it is the left who is behind yet another disastrous political stunt at our southern border, then they are to blame for whatever may happen at the irrevocable showdown.  And the stain of another one of their ruses and schemes will be tattooed all over their filthy hands.
