Trump and DoJ – No Stranger, No Fear

President Trump is no stranger to dealing with the Justice Department. The federal agency sued him and his father’s company, Trump Management Group, in 1973 for alleged systematic racism while renting out apartments in New York. The left believes this was the start of Trump’s racism and long-lasting fight with the law.

No Evidence Found

During the 2016 election cycle, left-wingers consistently said that Hillary Clinton was not going to be guilty of anything former FBI director Jim Comey was investigating because she did nothing wrong, despite the evidence. The mainstream media ignored all of the smashed Blackberry cell phones and unsecured homemade computer servers that government emails passed through. However, leftist publications pull up civil lawsuits from forty-five years ago, where no guilt was established or admitted, and say Trump is a racist, but claim Hillary is innocent.

The New York Times recently carried out an investigation by using documents that are decades old and managed to somehow indicate racism, despite the left-wing publication admitting there was no evidence that Trump created or enforced the policies of the Trump Management Group in which race was allegedly a factor.

If Hillary is innocent until proven guilty, then why isn’t Trump? This is still America.

Still Fighting the DOJ

Fast forward several decades and Trump is now the president of the country, and the man to whom DoJ head Jeff Sessions must answer. Since Sessions recused himself from the still fruitless Russia collusion investigation, there has been a sense of irritation from the president. Every once in a while, reports will emerge of a struggle between Trump and Sessions… then there are the occasional tweets.

The president feels slighted in the investigation controversy. Sessions stepped down when he didn’t have to and left Deputy Director of the Justice Department, Rod Rosenstein in charge. This is the man who threatened to subpoena emails of the House Intelligence congressional members in an apparent message to say “back off.” Not only Trump, but Americans should be concerned that Rosenstein would go to such lengths to shut people up in Washington that were working directly on the infamous Steele Dossier.

Over forty years ago, Trump was able to push back on the federal law enforcement agency. Now, while arguably one of the most successful presidents in American history, Trump has to fight against the high powered agency over claims that are laughable.

Swamp Politics

The left has politicized the Department of Justice, which should concern every single American. The question should be asked: “Will my candidate be investigated by the Department of Justice, just because of politics.” That should terrify anyone, including those with political aspirations.

The United States government is acting like a banana republic right now just because an outsider that represents everyday Americans won and was not supposed to, and it needs to stop.
