When will the campus craziness ever end?
A professor at Trinity College issued an “apology” last Thursday after receiving death threats for his call to minorities to withhold aid to dying white individuals. The professor made his racist comments just days after the shooting at the Congressional baseball practice, supporting the idea that first responders should have withheld aid to the Republican shooting victims because the victims were white. After receiving death threats for his racist views, the professor issued an “apology,” claiming that his comments were simply “misinterpreted.”
The uproar at Trinity College in Connecticut began after black Sociology Professor Dr. Johnny Eric Williams posted via social media a series of violently racist opinions directed at white people. As captured by Campus Reform, Dr. Williams wrote regarding white individuals, “#LetThem[Expletive]Die.” In his Let Them Die hashtag, Dr. Williams was referring to an article he shared a few days prior via Facebook by the Medium. The article explained that minorities should fight “white supremacy” by withholding aid to white individuals during a deadly crisis, such as the congressional baseball practice when a black cop reported to the scene. In the article, the author wrote:
If you see them [white people] drowning. If you see them in a burning building. If they are bleeding out in an emergency room. If the ground is crumbling beneath them: do nothing. Let. Them. [Expletive]. Die. And smile a bit when you do. For you have done the universe a great service.
In response to the violently racist views of the good professor, lawmakers called for Trinity College to remove him from his post, as reported by an ABC News affiliate. Students at the school also began making death threats against the professor. Trinity President Joanne Berger-Sweeney was forced to temporarily close the campus last Wednesday due to the aftermath of the violent rhetoric and assured all the school would investigate Dr. Williams on the matter. As it has played out, however, the school only required Dr. Williams to remove his racially charged Facebook posts and pursued no further punishments.
Fearing for his life after the death threats, Williams fled Connecticut and issued an “apology” for his violently racist posts. As reported by the Hartford Courant Newspaper, he stated:
I regret that the hashtag that I quoted from the title of an article was misinterpreted and misperceived as inciting violence and calling for the death of ‘white’ people.
Ironically, the “Let Them [expletive] Die” hashtag used by Dr. Williams was a direct quote from the article by the Medium that called for the death of whites. However, the educator states that it was all a “misinterpretation” by the press.
Further, he states:
Was Dr. Williams not “inviting or inciting” violence when he posted to Facebook?
I’m fed the [expletive] up with self-identified ‘white’s’ daily violence directed at immigrants, Muslims, and sexual and racially oppressed people. The time is now to confront these inhuman a**holes and end this now.
The estimated average annual salary of Trinity College professors is $171,922. Dr. Williams has earned quite a bit of money at the College to believe he is a victim of oppression, not to mention his success in earning a Ph.D. It appears that Dr. Williams must further investigate sociology to understand the topic in which he teaches at Trinity College. Students at the college are seemingly becoming brainwashed by the professor, as many have come to his defense. Many liberal Trinity professors have also spoken in defense of Dr. Williams’ violently racist posts. The racism and lack of empathy against whites by students and faculty at Trinity College would not be the first instance leftists support such violence at a university. As reported in an article by Liberty Nation’s Doug Davis, violence ensued at Evergreen State College just last May after minority students began attacking and holding hostage white students and faculty for simply being on campus.
Having escaped any severe consequences and issued a mere slap on the wrist by Trinity College, Dr. Williams once again took to Facebook, clearly displaying that he was never truly sorry for his racist comments, but was only rather afraid of the consequences of his actions (click to enlarge):
