Supreme Court Rules on Tennessee Transitioning Ban – READ IN FULL

Tennessee's ban against medically transitioning minors has been upheld at the Supreme Court. In a 6-3 opinion, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, the court found that in US v. Skrmetti, the lower court's decision should not be subject to a heightened scrutiny standard. The ban will stand under the lower, rational basis standard that the majority of Justices agreed should be applied.
