Someone Did Something to Omar and She’s Not Happy

Rep. Omar seems to enjoy offending everyday Americans – but she can’t take it when someone else is dishing it out.

Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is upset because “some people did something.” But in this case, the someone was President Donald Trump and the something was posting a video of her saying those insensitive words in regard to 9/11. In fact, the freshman congresswoman is convinced the video is the reason she received so many death threats after her remark.

“Since the President’s tweet Friday evening, I have experienced an increase in direct threats on my life — many directly referencing or replying to the President’s video.”

You’d have to be way out in the backwoods without a cell phone, television, computer, or radio not to have heard or read Omar’s less than patriotic speech at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in which she downplayed the 9/11 terrorist attack as merely “someone did something.” Social media exploded with outrage at the belittling of such a traumatic event, which killed nearly 3,000 people on American soil. But it was the president’s WE WILL NEVER FORGET video tweet that really incensed the representative and had her claiming the sudden spike in death threats was a direct result.

It is a very powerful video that shows clips of the attack and flashbacks to Omar’s remark:

Omar feels the president is inciting people against her, and of course, she can’t pass up an opportunity to bring up white nationalism:

“Violent crimes and other acts of hate by right-wing extremists and white nationalists are on the rise in this country and around the world. We can no longer ignore that they are being encouraged by the occupant of the highest office in the land.”

Yet Omar is far from squeaky clean when it comes to insults and provoking anger, frustration, and outrage. Recently, as Liberty Nation reported, Vice President Mike Pence denounced her for “repeated anti-Semitic tropes.” The VP even called for the removal of her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee during the annual America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) meeting. The freshman rep. also claimed in an interview with Vogue Arabia that living in Trump America is “an everyday assault,” and referred to parts of the American society as “ugly.”

Terrorism Ties?

If her insulting rhetoric isn’t enough, there’s her dangerous ties to terrorist groups, such as CAIR, which she makes no attempt to disguise. The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) said “CAIR was listed among organizations tied to the Muslim Brotherhood’s American network. Its founders emerged from a separate Islamic organization that two courts have found played a supporting role for the terrorist group Hamas.”

Omar was not only a speaker at the recent CAIR banquet where she spouted her “someone-something” remark, she is also a supporter of it. IPT’s 118-page investigative report on the group should be another warning sign about the dangers posed by this particular woman holding such a high American office. From the report:

However, after a careful review of the history, activities, statements, and causes of and by CAIR, it seems that its primary goals are to silence and de-legitimize its critics and redefine what it means to be a moderate Muslim. And when it comes to U.S. efforts to crack down on terrorists and their financiers, CAIR takes an almost visceral stand in opposition. This has the effect of undermining the legitimate security-related concerns and campaigns of the United States and its allies.

But wait, there’s more! As LN’s Jeff Charles reported, Omar “has familial connections to powerful individuals in the Somali government and appears to have exerted some influence over the country’s latest elections.”

So, who is this Somalian immigrant turned U.S. Representative? So far, we know that Omar swore into office using the Quran, has made Anti-Semantic comments, trivialized 9/11 and insulted and offended the American people, hates our president, and has ties to terrorist groups.
