SAY WHAT? The Left’s Human Shield

by | Jun 26, 2018 | Columns, Narrated News

Say What is the segment of Liberty Nation Radio where we unveil some of the most wacky, astonishing and damnable things uttered by politicians and the chattering class.  Here is the latest episode:

Tim Donner: With the inspector general’s report revealing deep, systemic bias in the Clinton email investigation, and an awful lot of things that Democrats don’t want you to know, the left instructed their handmaidens in the dutiful establishment media to change the subject to the U.S. southern border. Here, people entering the country illegally are being subjected to Donald Trump’s zero tolerance policy and separated from the children accompanying them, which the left has managed to sensationalize into a full-blown humanitarian crisis as they turn Trump into Hitler once more. The phenomenon of so-called “reporters” making speeches instead of asking questions and serving as little more than advocates for the left was on full display at a mid-week press briefing by White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.

Reporter 1: Have you seen the photos of children in cages? Have you heard the audio clip of these children wailing? Is that the image of this country that you want out there?

Reporter 2: Former first lady Laura Bush compared this to Japanese internment during World War II, one of the darkest stains in the nation’s history. How is this not child abuse? How could this not be child abuse for the people who are taken from their parents?

Reporter 3: President Trump has had a lot to say in the last few days about immigration, but he’s offered no compassion to the families that are being separated at the border. Do you know why that is?

Tim: That last weaselly little reporter with a whiny voice is so typical of the grandstanding, virtue signaling media. Let me tell you folks, having been in and around the media for most of my adult life, the idea of reporters as virtuous is a complete joke. Some in the left-wing media were overcome by the emotion of it all. Rachel Maddow on MSNBC broke down on the air.

Rachel Maddow

Rachel Maddow: (voice cracking) Three tender-age shelters in south Texas. Lawyers and medical providers just …(crying) I think I’m going to have to hand this off. Sorry. That’s it for us tonight.

Tim: Her emotions seemed real, and at least you know that MSNBC is just what it claims to be, a leftist vessel, just as Fox is a conservative vessel, but CNN is supposed to be different, as the “most trusted name in news”. Sorry. I can’t say that without laughing. CNN’s lead anchor, Jake Tapper, might as well be on the payroll of the Democratic party.

Jake Tapper: The president and his administration defending this policy have lied and obfuscated and told half-truths about it, falsely blaming the new policy on Democrats, falsely denying it exists.

Tim: But that was just the media. The resistance went a step further, verbally assaulting Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen while she was eating dinner at a DC Mexican restaurant.

Protesters: Secretary Nielsen, how dare you spend your evening here eating dinner as you’re complicit in the separation and deportation of over 10,000 children separated from their parents?…..Shame! Shame! Shame! Shame! Shame!

Tim: There you have quintessential resistance behavior and tactics. Secretary Nielsen was forced to leave that restaurant, but just as typical was the response of the woman who lost to Trump who’s been on an excuse tour ever since. This week, Hillary Clinton was glad to do an “I told you so.”

Hillary Clinton: I warned about this during the debates and on the campaign trail, that Trump’s immigration policies would result in families being separated, parents being sent away from their children.

Tim: Don’t you just love the kid in the playground who, when something bad happens, is the first to say, “Told you so! Told you so!” That is Hillary Clinton.

The left and the media were not able to completely ignore the IG report which reveals in black and white a pervasive hatred for Donald Trump, all the way up and down the line in the Clinton email investigation. More importantly, a commitment to stopping him at all costs, all in service to the woman they were certain was going to become the next president. One text between investigators promised to stop Trump from being elected. Another spoke of an investigation of Trump serving as an insurance policy against his election. As journalist Matthew Continetti said on Fox News, the biggest loser in all of this is one James Comey.

Matthew Continetti: Once again, Jim Comey’s sense of righteousness, I think, led him to undertake steps that, even though he thought they were right and conscientious, ended up ruining things for everybody else. He’s like someone who burns down a house and says afterward, “Well, we can all learn from this experience.”

Rudy Giuliani

Tim: Given that the same people in the Clinton email investigation are now working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani made another bold statement this week, saying the IG report is very revealing and effectively nullifies the validity of the Mueller investigation.

Rudy Giuliani: The case was fixed corruptly. We now know that. We’re way beyond that. We’re now in a situation much worse than that. I have to tell you, I’m very, very gratified because I believe that this is the end of Mueller’s investigation effectively.

Tim: You can be sure that Robert Mueller does not feel the same way, as his band plays on.
