Say What is the segment of Liberty Nation Radio where we unveil some of the most wacky, astonishing and damnable things uttered by politicians and the chattering class. Here is the latest episode:
Tim Donner: So, where is Robert Mueller headed with his special counsel investigation? We’re now into a second year and the heat has been turned up on the Mueller team to wrap things up and get out of dodge, particularly by the attack dog hired to fight the public battle for the Trump legal team, Rudy Giuliani, who promised on Fox News that they’re not going to rollover.
Rudy Giuliani: I think that they have the facts from which they can write their report. If you’re going to write a fair report, fine, write it. If you’re going to write an unfair report, write it, and we will combat it. We’re ready to rip it apart, and we’re ready to rip them apart, if that’s what they want.
Tim Donner: Now, we’re finding out more, on a daily basis, about the events and people involved in launching this special counsel investigation. We published a detailed, two-part series this week, on LibertyNation.com, on how this likely all went down.
But we have now reached a point in our national politics where Democrats are so addled by hatred for President Trump that they are actually defending barbaric gangs of illegal immigrant murderers. This week, at a meeting in California, with officials opposed to that state’s sanctuary policy of embracing all illegal immigrants at all times, Trump was asked about MS-13 gangs, which take murder to a whole new level.
Donald Trump: We’re taking people out of the country, you wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people, these are animals, and we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out, it’s crazy, the dumbest laws on immigration in the world.
Tim Donner: So, the president calls the people at MS-13 gangs, mostly from El Salvador, animals. Not far off considering the unspeakably cruel methods they use to murder, murdering mostly poor immigrants, their motto is “Kill, Rape, Control” and they stop at nothing to brutalize their victims, often using machetes to hack their victims to death. In one case, beating a woman to death with 28 blows with a baseball bat. But, while the president was referring only to MS-13 criminals, Nancy Pelosi went public, telling a bold-faced lie, by saying Trump was calling all illegal immigrants animals, when she damn well knew he was referring only to MS-13.
Nancy Pelosi: We’re all God’s children. There’s a spark of divinity in every person on earth, and that we all have to recognize that, as we respect the dignity and worth of every person. And so, when the President of the United States says, about undocumented immigrants, “These aren’t people, these are animals,” we have to wonder, “Does he not believe in the spark of divinity? The dignity and worth of every person?”
Tim Donner: So, this is what it’s come to, the Democrat leader in the United States House of Representatives, so disfigured by hatred for Trump, publicly telling an obvious, bold-faced lie, and using fake piety to defend gangs of murderous illegal immigrants. If you’re like me, I’m sure you’d never thought you’d see this day, but here we are. And, as the 2018 midterm elections loom in the not-so-distant future, now less than six months away, you have to think Pelosi and her fellow travelers on the far left, including, of course, the elite media, are going so far as defending MS-13, because their voters have moved so far to the left.
Both parties have been holding primaries for a number of Senate and House seats in recent days. Republicans, generally, happy with the winners of a bunch of recent primaries, that were won by candidates considered quite electable. The Democrats, more of a mixed bag, some conventional Hillary Clinton style Liberals winning primaries, some Pelosi acolytes and Bernie Sanders style progressives winning others. But to understand the heart of the current Democrat party, listen to Jeff Weaver, campaign manager for Bernie, describing just how far to the left the Democrats have moved.
Jeff Weaver: You know, when Bernie started, he was at 3%, 4%, 5%, and he was talking about things like free public college, he was talking about universal healthcare, he was talking about $15 minimum wage. Those are all, basically, articles of faith in the Democratic party, now. And they were considered, sort of, out on the fringe at the beginning of that campaign.
Tim Donner: So, the Democrats are in something of a quandary, knowing that their base is increasingly left wing. But, that more moderate Democrats, like Conor Lamb, the Democrat who won in a special election recently, in a district in Pennsylvania that Trump won big, those guys are more electable. So, in the end, the question is, whether they can fulfill their ultimate goal, to win the 24 seats they need, to take control of the House, with no agenda beyond opposing all things Trump, because up to now, at least, they have failed to come up with anything resembling a positive agenda.
This becomes even more perilous for the Democrats, when the likes of Mad Maxine Waters, the uber left Congresswoman from California, keeps running her mouth, and is actually taken seriously by leftist media outlets, like MSNBC. Listen to Mad Max dressing down a fellow member of Congress on the House floor, who deigned to speak in support of President Trump.
Maxine Waters: This business about making America great again, it is your president that’s dividing this country. And don’t talk to me about the fact that we don’t understand what happens on the automo …
Mike Kelly: Will the gentle-lady yield? Will the gentle-lady yield?
Maxine Waters: No, I will not yield.
Tom McClintock: The Chair wishes to remind all members that they are to address their remarks to the Chair.
Maxine Waters: I resent the remark about making America great again. He’s down here making a speech for this dishonorable President of the United States of America. Having said that, I reserve the balance of my time …
Mike Kelly: Will the gentle-lady yield?
Maxine Waters: … and, no, I do not yield, not one second to you …
Mike Kelly: Totally what I expected. Thank you ma’am.
Maxine Waters: … not one second.
Tim Donner: Do the Democrats actually believe that Nancy Pelosi and her fellow travelers, defending MS-13 gangs, and Maxine Waters making a spectacle of herself, is going to convince Americans to turn over control of the House to them? Really?
But not all of the aid and comfort the left is getting these days is coming from the leftist media, they can count on the unrelentingly never Trump, so-called Conservatives, like George Will, to help them out. Here’s George Will with his new friends at far-left MSNBC.
George Will: Donald Trump is an open book who’s been reading himself to the country for 30 years. There’re just no mysteries left, and he is this, as I said, this jumble of insecurities and partially, or not at all, compensating vanities. He’s a kind of mistake of nature.
Tim Donner: As George Will now moves comfortably into the embrace of the far left, while President Trump enacts an agenda of the very things these never-Trump Republicans, and Conservatives like him, claim to support, you’ll wonder which is worse, that Mr. Will doesn’t even realize he’s so obviously being played, as a useful idiot, by the left? Or, that he knows it, but doesn’t care? Now, maybe even he doesn’t realize it, because like the left, George Will and his fellow never-Trumpers, like Bill Kristol and Joe Scarborough and on and on, are suffering from terminal cases of TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome.
