Fulton County Court in Georgia, on Monday afternoon, released a charge list to its website detailing a number of felonies against former President Donald Trump. However, the document was almost immediately withdrawn, causing much speculation among court watchers keeping tabs on possible charges emanating from Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis’ grand jury.
Until an official statement is made regarding the purported leak, it remains unclear whether the 13 felonies listed are charges that are being asked for by Willis, a wish list of investigative avenues, or actual decisions made by the grand jury.
A spokesperson for the DA’s office refused to clarify the situation, saying only, “The Reuters report that those charges were filed is inaccurate. Beyond that we cannot comment.” The grand jury is reportedly still out, although it is thought that this will be the final week before any charges are filed.
Trump is accused of attempting to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.
