Lessons for the Left From Flyover Folk or Just a Lost Cause?

The looney left has lost touch with reality – but can heartlanders help?

Editor’s Note: While the media and other leftist elites ignore the millions of folks living in “flyover” states, they do so at their own peril; it was this silent majority that put President Trump in the White House. Each week, Liberty Nation gives voice to the hard-working heartlanders who are silent no more.

Farmers returned to the field across the heartland this week, ready to provide the world healthy food options while the less hard-working radical left added nothing of value to the world as we know it. Well, it appeared they contributed nothing, at least. On the Hill, a House panel committee advanced a reparations bill to entice the black demographic, and those at the Clinton News Network – as heartlanders call it – were again caught with their collective pants around their ankles. Oh, and Derek Chauvin pleaded the Fifth, sending echoes from uneducated armchair attorneys to bounce around the airwaves.

Gimme Gimme

Handing out reparations to descendants of slaves has been bandied about the hallowed halls before without much traction from Congress members. This week, legislators moved the ball an inch toward the goal as the House Judiciary Committee finally acted. By a vote of 25-17, the committee passed the idea on to the full House for more debate, and potentially heated debates will ensue – and almost certainly some Republicans will be called racist.

If the bill clears the House and Senate, the legislation will establish a commission – which means it’s a do-nothing law at this point – to examine slavery and discrimination from 1619 to the present day.

The Grand Canyon State weighed in on the debate as Peggy Deckner from Sun City, AZ expressed her distaste: “Total nonsense! I never owned a slave. No one still alive in America, as far as I know, was ever a slave, so why I supposed to be guilt-tripped into this insanity? Shouldn’t American taxpayers have some say in how that money is spent! Are we now back to taxation without representation?”

Alabama author, Kathy Hyatt Moore, was not pleased with any of it either. “They are out of their minds if they think any of us are going to sit back and let this happen,” she said. “And by ‘us,’ I mean American citizens!”

CNN Busted Again

The so-called news network ran into a bit of trouble this week as Project Veritas released a plethora of recordings embarrassing the muckety-mucks of CNN. Technical director for the network, Charlie Chester, spoke of how CNN brought in numerous medical experts to say there were neurological problems with then-President Trump. He said: “We were … We were creating a story there that we didn’t know anything about, you know? That’s what – That’s what I think, that’s propaganda.”

Well, he was dead-on right about propaganda, but he dug a deeper hole because the network just can’t help itself. Here is a selection of Chuck’s remarks:

  • “I was trying to do some research on the Asian hate, like the people [who] are getting attacked and whatnot. A bunch of black men have been attacking Asians. I’m like ‘What are you doing? Like, we [CNN] are trying to help BLM.’”
  • “The optics of that are not good. These [are] little things that are enough to set back movements because the far left will start to latch on and create stories like ‘criminalizing an entire people,’ you know, just easier headlines that way, I guess.”
  • “I haven’t seen anything about focusing on the color of people’s skin that aren’t white. They [CNN] just aren’t saying anything. You know what I mean?”
  • “You can shape an entire people’s perception about anything [depending] on how you do it.”

One man in Gilbert, AZ, David Hargrove, reminded everyone that “Liberals are happy with this. They don’t care if their news is the truth or not. This was proven with Russia, Russia, Russia.” And in Nebraska, Christie Hajek Smith wrote, “It’s the media that interferes with elections.”

[youtube-subscribe align=”left”] And what thanks did Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe get for exposing the truth? Booted from Twitter for violating community standards. Surprise, surprise.

Plead the Fifth

Thanks to the Fifth Amendment, defendants can avoid possibly saying something to incriminate themselves as an American right. Derek Chauvin, the man charged with the murder of George Floyd last summer, chose not to testify in his trial. Of course, liberals claimed it was an admission of guilt. But those patriots across the red states who understand the Constitution spent a few exhausting hours defending that right on social media.

From Isanti, MN, Noah Willmert spoke for the good folks living through this disaster: “They’re going to riot and throw a tantrum regardless. Monsters acting like children. If he’s acquitted, they’ll lose it; if he is convicted, they’ll say the punishment isn’t enough. None of it is about social justice.”

Ain’t that the truth.
