Illegal Immigrant Kills One, Injures Two Police Officers

In what appears to be a deliberate ambush, an illegal alien allegedly shot and killed one police officer and seriously wounded two others as law enforcement responded to a domestic violence call in San Marcos, TX.

The officers arrived at the Twin Lake Villas Apartment complex after answering a 911 call on April 18 that came in just after 6 p.m. According to local reports, the suspect, 46-year-old Alfredo Perez Delacruz, was lying in wait and opened fire with a rifle on the officers as soon as they reached the complex. Officer Justin Putnam, 31, was fatally shot to death. Officers Justin Mueller and Franco Stewart were critically wounded and taken to Ascension Seton Hays Hospital. They both underwent surgery and are in the hospital’s intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.

Officials said Delacruz wore body armor and took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene. Reports indicate he had an extensive criminal history and has used several aliases while living in the country illegally.

Putnam had served on the San Marcos Police Department for five and a half years. A graduate of Texas State University, he leaves behind his parents and a fiancée.

Alien Claims to be COVID-19 Infected and Coughs/Spits on Others

The Coronavirus pandemic has many around the world on edge. People are asked to wear protective face masks before going out in public, keep six feet apart, stand behind plastic barriers in stores, and suffer the removal of many personal freedoms. In this heightened and tense situation, some might consider it criminal for people to claim they are infected with COVID-19 and plan on taking action to infect others on purpose.

This is precisely what happened in the township of Sparta, NJ, according to a website that tracks crimes committed by illegal persons. Police were called to the local Stop & Shop supermarket because a customer had become combative after being asked to leave for refusing to follow virus protection protocols set up by the store. After an employee asked 73-year-old Polish national Vadim Sakiewicz to vacate the premises for not following the guidelines of wearing a face mask, the suspect told two supermarket employees that he was infected with the virus. According to the police report, he then intentionally coughed on them.

Police arrived on the scene and attempted to apprehend him, but Sakiewicz allegedly spat on them and then tried to bite one of the officers.

The illegal immigrant was charged with making terroristic threats, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a police officer, criminal mischief, failure to follow a state directive, and obstruction. Currently, Sakiewicz is being held without bond at the Sussex County Jail. This was not, however, his first brush with the law.

In 2013, Sakiewicz was convicted of defiant trespass, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct after he tried to run over people while rollerblading on the boardwalk in the township of Sparta, New Jersey. He spent 40 days in jail for that incident.

Tune in next week for more on the illegals crime report.
