Hillary Clinton Wants to Build a Big Beautiful Wall?

Folks in the know suggest immigration reform is Hillary's second chance.

Hillary Clinton has hinted at building a wall. Not a barrier to protect the Chappaqua estate from nosy neighbors, but rather the type that former President Donald Trump campaigned on in 2016. Yes, that big beautiful kind to be built on the southern border with Mexico to keep folks out. Well, hot sauce in the pocketbook failed, and illegal immigration has only gotten worse, so why not? Of course, this chatter is being fueled by veteran political consultant and Swamp gadabout Dick Morris, a longtime Clinton insider.

“I see more and more signs that Hillary’s going to run,” Morris told John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM radio. And that was enough of a lead-in to begin the dialogue on why America is desperate for a Bill Clinton-type candidate: moderate, folksy, flawed, and apologetic. However, that does not seem to describe Mrs. Clinton.

But Morris believes he created Bill’s political career and could do the same by rewinding the clock in Hillary’s best interests. Former President Clinton seemed on board Sept. 29 when he Southern-drawled to CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, “[T]here is a limit to how many migrants any society can take without severe disruption.”

Hillary Clinton 2024: Bash Biden’s Border Issues

Having occupied the corner office during many of her career heights, Hillary has yet to sit in the Oval’s prime seat; so far, the ceilings have remained plaster and intact. Morris has been floating a Hillary Clinton candidacy during radio chats over the past two weeks, with the ease of a fortune teller making eye contact. Apparently, Madam Secretary of State doesn’t much care for Biden’s open borders, and the family pal slyly mentioned that she’s dropping big hints into the conversation that most Americans “do not believe in open borders,” either.

Morris threw in a few good jabs at the current administration, saying:

“These are all signals that she is going to be the moderate candidate for president. She’s going to say after the election, ‘See, the left cost us the House and the Senate. If we stay with a left-wing candidate in 2024, we’re going to lose the White House. I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance at victory.’”

Gosh, America and Hillary Clinton on the same page? The possible candidate herself has been inserting her nose in the political atmosphere by arranging interviews with the activist media: Remember those people who thought the world had ended in 2016? Appearing on MSNBC, Clinton dropped a doozy of an accusation of human trafficking after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flew 50 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard without being granted special permission by the one-percenters. She continued:

“So many other Americans — I happen to believe still the majority of Americans — are good-hearted and generous and when people end up on their doorstep in need, they’re going to respond. They’ll feed them and house them and the kids in the AP Spanish class will be let out of high school so they can go and translate.”

For all of two days if you live on the Vineyard. But she also snuck in a little nugget of centrism: “Nobody wants open borders who has any idea of how government and countries work.” Boom. Aimed right at the Biden administration, which has failed miserably on the US southern border.

It’s good to have friends like Dick Morris in your political camp. He predicts a bright future for Democrats as soon as Hillary steps in to save the day: “Once Biden pulls out, the polling will show that the Democrats are leaning toward some crazy radical like [California Gov.] Gavin Newsom, [Vermont Sen.] Bernie Sanders. Maybe even AOC herself.”

Yikes! Dial up the former first lady right now. “That’s going to drive the Democratic Party leaders to go to Hillary and say, ‘Hey, look. Please run again. We need you to save us from the crazy left,’” Morris said.

But unless Mrs. Clinton becomes much more of an out-of-the-closet conservative, she is a one-issue candidate for a 2024 presidential race. She cannot bark about Build Back Better, the national disaster of an economy, the Hunter Biden scandal coming to light, or green energy. But she can appeal to the masses with a feasible plan to stop illegal immigration. As Democrats bemoan their current selection in the White House and float the idea of a new team that will no doubt be announced immediately after the midterms, the time is ripe for a Hillary rerun. But this go-round, you can bet the hot sauce in the designer bag will be replaced by border wall construction plans and a roll of razor wire.
