Great Britain Leaves the European Union

In June of 2016, the British people voted to return to independence and leave the European Union and its government.  The same year, Donald J. Trump became president, and with the same reaction.  The Remainers have used every tool, trick, and vote to frustrate the will of the people and their desire for more power over their own affairs.

Mark Angelides, a resident of the U.K. and managing editor at Liberty Nation, has been covering this story for LN since he joined the site a few years ago. He writes of his country’s reborn independence:

Brexit is one of the most historically significant events of recent times. It was the precursor to Trump, it heralded the populist movement across Europe, and it was the first moment the world realized that the ideology of globalism was not a fixed fate, inescapable and unstoppable.

And:

Brexit has happened, Donald Trump won, but the story goes on. What happens today will have major consequences for the next 20 years, 200 years, or perhaps even more. Brexit was the spark that lit the flame of a populist resurgence around the globe. We see it in Europe, we see it in the U.S., and it will rage until all people can honestly say that they are truly, finally, free.

Will the Germans decide Merkel’s embrace of the culture of refugees as superior to the value of Germans was a mistake?  The E.U. cost-benefit math for all of the remaining countries must be re-evaluated based on Brexit, and Mark will see we are informed.
