A Georgia appeals court has ruled that the Fulton County District Attorney who oversaw one of the high-profile indictments against President-elect Trump, Fani Willis, be removed from the case.
The panel, consisting of three judges, determined that Willis’ relationship with the special prosecutor she hired, Nathan Wade (who was, himself, booted from the case) amounted to a conflict of interest.
The Court of Appeals did not dismiss the actual criminal case, meaning the continued prosecution of Mr. Trump and more than a dozen others now faces an uncertain future.
