As America’s political divide widens beyond a chasm into a fjord, the steady, B-story drum beat of comprehensive COVID-19 vaccination continues apace. The remarkably uniform media messaging on vaccines for the last two decades has been nothing if not consistent. It has been distilled to one simple mantra easy enough for even the most cue-card challenged talking head to parrot: “vaccines are safe and effective.”
That’s not a well-worn phrase you’re hearing a lot these days, however. With widespread reluctance to get the vaccine and serious questions about safety and efficacy arising, the media has pivoted to urging compliance – justifiable concerns be damned.
“Perfectly Healthy” Doctor Dies
The wife of a 56-year-old Florida doctor who died two weeks after receiving the COVID-19 jab stated he was “perfectly healthy” before being immunized against the virus. Heidi Neckelmann said her pro-vaccine husband, Dr. Gregory Michael, “sought emergency care three days after the shot because he had dots on his skin that indicated internal bleeding.”
Dr. Michael was diagnosed with a sudden dearth of platelets, an alarming development his physicians tried in vain to remedy over two weeks. After getting his experimental COVID shot on December 18, Dr. Michael died on January 3, when he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke related to a lack of platelets known as Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (I.T.P.) His widow stated:
“He was in very good health. He didn’t smoke, he drank alcohol once in a while, but only socially. He worked out, we had kayaks, he was a deep-sea fisherman. They tested him for everything you can imagine afterwards, even cancer, and there was absolutely nothing else wrong with him.”
Immunity
Pfizer, the vaccine’s manufacturer, made a statement that it was “actively investigating” the case but “don’t believe at this time, there is any connection to the vaccine.” This is a corporate shirk that has haunted the waking nightmares of generations of parents of vaccine-injured children. “Correlation does not equal causation” has been strenuously used to evade responsibility for adverse events arising from vaccination for nearly 40 years.
In the end, it’s merely a public-relations misdirect the Big Pharma companies engage in – even though they don’t have to. The 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) conferred total immunity from vaccine injury or death on all companies and health care professionals in the vaccine manufacturing and administration chain. This allows Pfizer to convey concern while doing nothing to investigate the claim of Dr. Michaels’ death being caused by or the result of the experimental COVID-19 vaccine. They don’t have to – because they can’t be sued.
According to Lyn Redwood of Children’s Health Defense, I.T.P. is a well-known adverse event associated with vaccines for Hepatitis A and B, HPV, DTap, and polio. And yet Pfizer insisted in a statement there is nothing to indicate an association between their experimental vaccine and the I.T.P. that killed Dr. Michaels.
His wife stated she believes her husband’s death was “100% linked” to the COVID vaccine and urged us all “to not let his death be in vain – please save more lives by making this information news.”
Norway Nursing Home Deaths
Hard on the heels of this tragedy is news that two nursing home deaths in Norway following the administration of Pfizer’s experimental COVID-19 vaccine are being investigated. According to the Norwegian Medicines Agency, the deaths occurred “a few days” after the elderly residents got their shots. Efforts to “assess whether it is the vaccine that is the cause of the death, or whether it is a coincidence that it happens so soon after vaccination” were underway.
Whether this is typical bureaucratic damage control or a genuine effort to determine if the vaccine was complicit remains to be seen, but count on this story to permanently exit the news cycle in the rush to vaccinate everyone on planet Earth. That and the growing news that between 40% and 60% of health care professionals in many states, including doctors and nurses nationwide, are refusing the COVID-19 vaccine based on safety concerns is laying siege to the “vaccines are safe” trope.
And now, associate editor of the British Medical Journal, Peter Doshi, has released a detailed statement on the B.M.J. website that asserts: “efficacy for Pfizer and Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines may be as low as between 19% and 29%.” This is far below the 50% threshold Anthony Fauci said he’d be happy with back in late in 2020 – and significantly below the F.D.A. threshold for approval. This implies that the trials to prove efficacy conducted by the manufacturers may have been marred by not testing everyone who showed symptoms but selectively choosing those that did in order to boost the ostensible rate of efficacy in advance of the F.D.A.’s consideration for approval.
That means those who voluntarily choose the experimental COVID-19 vaccine may be signing up for a shot with a possible efficacy of 19%, which is associated with a burgeoning number of adverse events including death, and for which there is no proof it will stop transmission – in order to combat a virus with a 99.74% recovery rate.
A moment of silence is warranted here: Rest in peace, “Vaccines are safe and effective.”
