Chuck Schumer Begs Rupert Murdoch to Shut Down Tucker Carlson

The J6 footage has the Senate Majority leader pleading for censorship.

The drip, drip, drip of the January 6 footage by Fox’s Tucker Carlson has New York Democrat Chuck Schumer in a panic. A team of producers for the most popular program on Fox News has been culling through 40,000 hours of J6 video, and most of it is a far cry from what the Democrat-controlled dog and pony show tried to portray regarding the amount of violence on that fateful day. The J6 committee used selective portions of the hours and hours of footage – even going so far as to add audio enhancements – in an effort to convince viewers that a wild and unruly group of Trump supporters was hellbent on death and destruction at the US Capitol. The only problem, which Carlson proved beyond a shadow of doubt, is that much of the J6 video is comprised of people being escorted through the hallowed halls by Capitol police. Other portions show people peacefully walking through the roped area as sightseers. That the truth has finally and unequivocally been shown in living color has Sen. Schumer incensed and crying foul to Fox owner Rupert Murdoch.

“Rupert Murdoch has a special obligation to stop Tucker Carlson from going on tonight now that he’s seen how he [Carlson] has perverted and slimed the truth,” Schumer bellowed dramatically in front of the news media. But he didn’t stop there. The Senate majority leader saved his most outrageous claim for last when he said Carlson must be shut down “because Democracy depends on it.”

The fact is the United States is not a democracy; it is a republic, but never mind – the man was on a roll. That such a high-profile politician would belly up to the news media begging for less freedom of the press is breathtaking. Perhaps Schumer has lost all sense of self-awareness, or maybe he’s in panic mode. As one Twitter follower put it, “Way to support the First Amendment, Chuckie.”

At issue is the crumbling of a Democrat Party narrative that has twisted the events of January 6, 2021, to suit its needs. They have done so with the willing culpability of the corporate establishment media. It was carried out – as Carlson noted – with an astonishing discipline in their messaging.

The refrain emanating from the J6 committee was that the events of that day were a “deadly insurrection” of “armed” rioters, resulting in five people’s deaths. But an honest look at the video shows this to be patently untrue. This is what Carlson & Co. are proving night after night, and the only way the New York senator can think of stopping it is to call on Fox’s owner to force Carlson to shut up.

Schumer Calls to Stifle a Free Press

Before Schumer had the audacity to call for censorship in front of the working press, he had what The Federalist called “a temper tantrum on the Senate floor earlier in the day in which he accused Carlson’s Monday night program of being ‘one of the most shameful hours … ever seen on cable television.'”

Viewers finally got to see the many myths of the Democrat message. It showed Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick performing his duties unharmed in the Capitol complex. It revealed several officers peacefully escorting Jacob Chansley – the man known as the QAnon Shaman – through the building. Chansley is now serving more than three years in prison for that privilege.

An “insurrection” is not comprised of elderly ladies wearing fur coats slow-walking through rope lines. “Armed” does not mean carrying around US flags on poles, and “deadly” does not mean death from natural causes the following day. (Though it must be said that one of the protesters, Ashli Babbitt, was killed that day.) What has Chuck Schumer enraged is that now Americans can see for themselves what really happened on January 6, 2021. They no longer need to take Sen. Schumer’s word for it. And that, dear friends, is what freedom of the press is all about.
