BREAKING: Supreme Court Sides with Texas on Border Enforcement

Biden administration dealt a big blow in its immigration fight with the Lone Star State.

Today, March 19, the United States Supreme Court ruled that Texas can enforce a new law allowing local law enforcement officers to arrest migrants who have crossed or are suspected of crossing the southern border illegally.

The Court’s decision comes just one day after it extended a block on the Texas law at the request of the Biden administration. The executive branch argued that the law usurps federal immigration law. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has said it is in line with federal law and was necessary due to the administration’s failure to deal with the ongoing border crisis.

After this latest Supreme Court decision, Paxton wrote on X:

HUGE WIN: Texas has defeated the Biden Administration’s and ACLU’s emergency motions at the Supreme Court. Our immigration law, SB 4, is now in effect. As always, it’s my honor to defend Texas and its sovereignty, and to lead us to victory in court.
