Trick or Treat: The Biden Doctrine

Shifty-looking characters and the illusion of choice: It’s a Biden Halloween.

Trick or treat is not what it once was. The kids still say it, of course: “trick or treat?” before they hold out their buckets for candy. It used to be a choice – trick or treat – and you got to make a decision. It’s not a choice anymore, though. The or is merely an illusion to make you think you have the option. In a way, then, it is a reflection of the radical left’s social and economic platforms. It is as if you answered the knock on your door on October 31 and there stood Barack Obama, saying: “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.”

In case you don’t much care for that scenario, think of what trick-or-treating could look like next year, if Obama’s former vice president prevails on November 3: instead of masked toddlers in adorable costumes asking for a few pieces of candy, masked teenagers – and perhaps their college professors – will be at your door, demanding 50% of all your candy. And then they’ll burn down your house.

Cabinet in the Woods

It gets worse, though – or better, depending on your point of view. Word on the street has it that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is angling for the top job at Treasury in a Biden administration. That’s quite ironic, considering that Biden’s campaign is heavily backed by a lot of folks in the securities sector and big tech; Warren’s public enemy numbers one and two.

Texas Jigsaw Massacre

Add to that the talk of Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) gunning for the Labor Secretary position. Goodbye, right to work. You’ll join the union and like it, or you won’t work at all. At least you’ll still have your guns, though. No, in fact, scratch that, because Irish-Hispanic-Texan Beto “Hell yes, we’re going to take your ARs” O’Rourke could be heading up Biden’s gun violence response. Beto’s view of gun violence appears to be that if you own a gun, you’re violent.

Are you seeing the pattern here? Every branch of government policy could be headed by the very people who fully intend to provide no options to the American people in those respective areas. Of course, this is all little more than speculation since the Democratic Party’s candidate for president has announced no firm decisions on cabinet posts – or on anything else, for that matter.

I Can’t Remember What I Did Last Summer

What has Biden said? Well, on October 30, he said this: “[Trump] contributed to the surge of bankruptcies and American farmers … “ It isn’t clear how the president contributed to a surge of American farmers, but never mind. “Look,” Biden went on during a last-gasp stump speech, “I’ll do what he’s unable to do. I’ll lead an effective strategy to mobilize truaninonashufodopressure isolate and punish China.”

Another Bizarre Horror Movie Reference

Despite Breitbart’s attempt at transcription, nobody knows just what Biden is planning to mobilize, but it sounds terrifying.

This, then, is the Biden Trick or Treat Doctrine. Give you the impression that you’ll have a choice, but, in the end, you had better just hand over the candy. In all things that matter, the government will choose for you.
