Tulsi Demands an Apology from Clinton – Will She Get It?

There was a time when Hillary Clinton would have been protected by the party from such demands. That time is over.

The nation’s least favorite perennial presidential wannabe is basking in the glow of resurging media attention. Claiming she is under “immense pressure” to save the fledgling Democratic primary from lesser mortals, Hillary Clinton is paying attention to a real threat: outspoken Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard.

Mrs. Clinton has become accustomed to saying anything outrageous to further her delusional narrative. Last month her loose lips let fly on national television in an accusation completely devoid of evidence:

“She’s the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”

Tulsi, of course, fired back in a painful way for Clinton that has tongues wagging and beads of perspiration beading on the brows of Democrats:

“Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”

In the past, Hillary was an important member of the Democratic Party and would be protected at any cost with the assistance of the legacy media cartel. There would have been a staged kiss and makeup photo-op once upon a time. But that book was burned in 2016, and Tulsi is allowed, perhaps encouraged, to finally strike out at the elder Clinton with more than just a few mean girl words in a tweet.

And she did just that by siccing a lawyer on the former Secretary of State.  A strongly worded missive was sent instructing Clinton to take it all back: “Your statement is defamatory, and we demand that you retract it immediately.”

“Or what?” Yes, that’s a California Rep. Adam Schiff-like paraphrase right there we imagine passed through the Matron’s lips.

Livin’ on Tulsi Time

The letter went on to remind Mrs. Clinton that “Congresswoman Gabbard is not a Russian asset and is not being groomed by Russia.” Gabbard’s lawyer also pointed out that Clinton should know better than to make ridiculous statements when “no law enforcement or intelligence agencies have claimed, much less presented any evidence.” Not that the Clintons – any of them – would find that much of a hurdle in the pursuit of power.

Hillary Clinton

The letter concludes with an ominous observation of Madam making a “grave mistake and error of judgment.”

Clinton has declined to comment about the letter and continues her obvious full-court press to stay relevant. Recently, in an appearance on BBC Radio 5 Live, she simply crowed about her popularity in the party when queried whether she would run in 2020 – seemingly channeling Foghorn Leghorn: “I say, I say, never, never, never say never. I will certainly tell you; I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it.”

Perhaps hiring a media consultant to help shape her message would be the best place to start a 2020 run. Tragically, Democrats have left Hillary in the Chappaqua woods far too long, and frankly, if she becomes the chosen one out of entitlement or sheer desperation, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) might experience another cardiac incident.  And no one wants that.

Mrs. Clinton says she thinks about winning in 2016 “all the time” – no surprise there – and what might have been had the mean orange man not won in an Electoral College landslide. But demographics have changed, new political bases have been built, and numerous ethically questionable moves by the Clinton machine have come to light. If Tulsi stays true to her strategy, using the rantings of a sore loser will keep her in the spotlight for being a nearly normal Democrat. It will also have the electorate checking out policy ideas and issues no outlet in the media cartel has covered as of yet.  Heck, Hillary’s madness may be just the ticket in time for a Tulsi surge in the polls.
