October 31 – “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” President Trump paid homage to this oft-quoted line first uttered by President Ronald Reagan as he declared November 2019 the first National American History and Founders Month. In his speech, the president highlighted the importance of an informed electorate: “To continue safeguarding our freedom, we must develop a deeper understanding of our American story. Studying our country’s founding documents and exploring our unique history – both the achievements and the challenges – is indispensable to the future success of our great Nation.”
November 1 – President Trump made a proclamation in honor of National Veterans and Military Families Month, saying “The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen who fight to defend our liberty embody courage, patriotism, and loyalty.
